  • not my exact idea of Cathy..... XD

  • I wish people would come bursting through my door with ukuleles while I am in bed haha.

  • WHAT IS HAPPENING.

  • Gaaanz großartig – und plötzlich erkennt man die Qualität der Komposition. Thnaxalot!

  • The live stage version has much more life, and a better recording!!

    Why is this muffled?

  • These guys r nuts, I love them.

  • This is just incredible it sounds like a 1920's-30s version in the best way. Wonder if Kate likes it?

  • I feel sooo sorry for the few dislikers of this video.

Just can't imagine what they are like.

Any dislikers care to enlighten me?

    (I'm not expecting any replies.)

  • lol, cool

  • Awesome stuff!!!

  • jajajaja

  • This has made me want to run away from university and join the Ukulele Orchestra. It's my circus

  • It's the sheep that make it . . .

  • very good \o

  • Like is not a strong enough word. adore. there should be an adore button.

  • this video made my life. its hilarious ^^

  • i can't stop listening to that smooth voice. what a crooner.

  • the best.

  • I just can´t find reason to dislike this song.

  • @justjayit777 have you tried Pat Benatar's version?

  • I am stunned !!!!!!!

  • M A R V E L O U S ! 1

  • Does anyone know where I can download/buy this exact version of the song?

  • @justjayit777 You can buy the song on amazon or their offical website. I think it's on the 'Live in London #1' CD if i'm not mistaken. I've been trying to find just the one song too but it looks like i'll have to buy the album.

  • @justjayit777 look up "mp3 rocket" to download and that's where I got it (exact)

  • @justjayit777 On Google - my apologies!

  • I actually hate the girl versions of this song... Kate and Hayley sound too whiney or shrill for me, but this one, while being ridiculous and funny, is also very pleasant to my ear, haha

  • strangely disturbing but so so so funny.

  • Wuthering Heights easy listening style...

  • absolutely brilliant

  • Entirely ridiculous... I love Kate's and Hayley's versions, but this rules totally. Concept of covering Kate could have end as a total blasphemy but they made it with bravado, music skills and good idea. Effect is magnificient ;-D One of the funniest videos I've recently seen.

  • I WANT TO BE THERE

  • OHHHH! LET ME HAVE IT...

  • I love these guys, they are brilliant

  • Kate Bush did a cover of this song... - not a patch on this though!

  • She didn't do a cover, @duckbiter, she wrote this song.

  • @snobahr - sorry Amanda, my comment was an example of English Irony, in keeping with the UOGB.

I was here when Kate's song first came out, and have always loved it.

UOGB's version is the epitome of English humour - eccentric , brilliant, perverse and so so funny!

    I hope you like it!

  • i swear i piss myself a little watching it....

  • @matt27lond27 Well, if i pissed myself, I'd swear too ;)

But, yeah, this is way better than the original

  • I'd never have thought it possible to turn this song into something so, er, ordinary sounding and funny!

  • Completely brilliant and utterly bonkers! The bit where they burst into the bedroom always has me in stitches.

  • i love it

  • i just love it (。◕‿‿◕。)

  • yep yep ... that was hysterical!

  • brill. now watch 'the good the bad and the ugly'

  • I like it when the sheep goes bahs.

  • ROFLMAO its funny!! and its good at the same time!!

  • XD XD XD

  • great stuff!!! love it

  • Any chance of a free MP3 download , please?

  • when it whent "heathcliffe, (HEATHCLIFFE) I lol'd

but when it went "its me, cathy" i was like, WTF?!?!

  • Dieser Song hat Groove und ist genial gemacht. Gefällt mir fast besser als das Original von Kate Bush. Warum bekommt man von solchen coolen Sachen einfach nicht mehr auf die Ohren.

  • I realy like the ukulele and this song and the orchestra is great, thanks!

  • The standard by which all cover bands should be judged!

  • Suuuuuuper Good .........:-))))))

  • wow how old is this, I've just realized everything in the video is 1990's stuff, the pub, the lot all feels very 1990's if you know what I mean, very no frills.

  • id buy that for a dollar!

  • Hahaha this is an EPIC cover so hilarious, holds a slightly different air from the original ...

  • dude how can a man /woman that is completely normal dislike this

  • Outstanding! Sublime - etc

  • For me.

  • Great song love it :D

  • Didn't Kate Bush do a cover of this?

  • @throovest this is her song. she wrote it.

  • @mazuna and this is the only cover of it I can listen too :D

  • @throovest lol

  • Yes, I enjoyed this video. A guy called Cathy, makes a good change from Sue!

  • Awesome!

  • Bizzare. lol Frank Sinatra with banjos does Kate Bush.

  • @sTeVie4TV: I knew you´d watch that! I´ve seen it too. ;-)

  • @LadyClifftastic Of course you have. Its bonkers.

  • @sTeVie4TV: Like you, you mean?

  • Is that Richard Cheese? i luv him...

  • All I can say is...Brilliant!!! I prefer it to Kate's version. Sorry Kate.

  • wish they would re-post the stage vesion of this song- it was better- more fun-!

  • Aweseome!!! Saw the 'orchestra version' a while ago, but this takes the cake.

  • I think George Hinchliffe is hot

  • Let me INTO your window...grammatical and it scans...

  • @fosseseptique The original lyrics (Kate Bush) are:

"Heathcliff, its me, Cathy come home

I'm so cold, let me in-a-your window"

It's printed on the CDs back.

    Art > Grammar :P

  • I love at 2:51 the guy is being offered tissues.

  • toll gemacht

  • great stuff - something different at last - so its silly ! so much the better

  • This is brill

  • This is seriously good, up there with Kate herself !

  • sooo good!!

  • Bad sound / great song

  • This must be in my top ten youtubes now...

  • That is just so brilliant.

  • my only master....!!!

  • so funny (- and strange: in the back of my mind, I hear Kate Bush singing along *lol*)

  • Heathcliff!

  • superb!

  • Does it close with "42"?

  • Isn't the man being handed a box of tissues a bit... er... suggestive ;)

  • You gotta love 'em- they're so wacky!!!

  • 'Whata lovely video!

  • Great version!

  • absolutely delish!!!!!LOL...............I'm a (new) fan.......of this orchestra extrordinaire.........10by10starfor this presentation...LOL

    Laurie

  • Q1. What are the very last words used in the song?

Q2. Why is she wearing her undies in bed?

    Q3. Where is the pub?

  • A1 - "She was just a girl and he was just a boy...in love, poor heathcliff"

A2 - This is the Ukulele Orchestra of GB doing Wuthering Heights- not a porno???

    A3 - Don't know...good question

  • @jkmochamaster

    Ah of course, "poor Heathcliffe".

  • How do they do that effect very similar to the one used in movies when spiders or bugs are climbing every where. 1:34

  • Tbh I prefer the live version on Youtube.

  • what a smug jerk that heathcliff is. can you imagine better revenge than this?

  • Comment removed

  • love the box of tissues at the end, hahahahah

The uogb are without doubt brillant!

  • OMG! What could be more annoying than being stalked while on a date? I know, being stalked by a UKELE BAND!

  • err ukulele orchestra

  • I didn't like this version.

  • Nice to be able to make out the lyrics!

  • What these guys need is a double bass player.

  • Love it!!

  • Artistas!

  • dddd

  • THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!! Richard Cheese couldn't have done better. You guys are too fucking clever.

  • heathcliff

  • Exactly how tall is Peter?

    He looks about 8ft...

  • Oh my god. This is so good.

I might actually like this book, and I hated it before.

  • PPS The video is as brilliant as the orchestra. I am singing and dancing along and shall continue to do so. Thank you so much for posting.

  • Brilliant! Thank you so much for posting. I will not go into the gory details of my ex-husband's abuse of Emily's amazing novel or of Kate Bush's wonderful song regarding abuse of me. Sicko. This is wondeful. Long live the ukelele orchestra. Thank you again. PS the ukelele is widely played in traditional Italian music and has never been considered an inherently non-serious instrument - so not played quite like this! Jx

  • This is amazing when done on the stage. For many reasons this video doesn't work or do their talents justice.

  • Not to mention it has nothing to do with wuthering heights. Yet the band still kick ass

  • so talented... girls aloud can sing gary oke and get rich lololol

  • 01:45

    Hester the Evil!!!

  • oh my ever loving gods but that was too funny

  • I love all the ukes packed in the back seat!

  • Poor sheldomon, a weak prisoner in his own mind.

  • Please, please, please go on Britains Got Talent. The world need to hear you.

  • I saw hem live last year. What a band! If you are a good musician, remember, keep a sense of humour. It really works.

  • 02:51 - hands over box of tissues :)

  • Does anyone find the concept of being stalked by an ukelele band one of the most ludicrously funny ideas for any video?

  • I'm SO using this song for my English Lit presentation on Wuthering Heights.

  • Hah, i'm doing that as well, watching this is work as far as i'm concerned..

  • Craziest thing ever, but good!!

It's like the "I Started A Joke'' version by 'Faith No More'

  • I like the live version at the Big Chill better, but this one is awesome as well.

  • Utterly brilliant take on this song. It's weird, it's mad and strange. But I love it.

  • something about this is so classy... so brilliant! Musical genius. Good on Jo for recommending this in frankie!

  • This is so good......I don't know why I'm crying..............I was in England until I was 5, then off to the states. There seems to be something that I miss in this vid: England's humor, and silliness too!

  • she's white chelle ffs!

  • This is amazing and hysterical.

    Meow, Astrid

  • complete cretin

  • Speaks better English too ?

  • Nein, das ist nur ein schlechtes Video! Look the Video from ambergambler, das ist gut!

  • You are a complete twat.

  • just because they don't play ukelele inside your set of 'good' parameters- i.e. in a traditional hawaiian sense, you think they're dreadful- they aren't! They play the instrument well in an unorthodox fashion. It would be dreadful if we all stuck to just doing things the normal way wouldn't it? Anyways, if you don't like, as I have said before, don't watch!

  • Can he spell better than you?

  • ace-a-roonie!! i love you!!!

  • I've never seen a UOGB proper music video before- fun stuff!

  • is this of the book? is it now a movie?

  • i am speechless.

  • life is good

  • It's like they took a page of my diary and made it REAL.

  • HEATHCLIFF!

    Lol 5/5

  • Heathcliff!

  • Is there no end to this lot's talents--?

    Cracking video.

  • Brilliant.

After that shot of the knives on the kitchen wall I was waiting...................

  • Great vid. I've got a lot of their stuff as favourites and they look a lot younger in this video

  • AWSOME!!! :D love them !

  • they are FANTASTIC!

  • Hahaha, epic video for an amazing song

  • fantasticcccc

  • Yeah, it is from a novel. Kate Bush did the song about the novel. I googled it! :-D

  • Then Pat Benetar did a version also.

  • I don't know about benetar, but try the later version by these people, I find they really improve it^^

  • Or whatever. LOL

  • From an American: I thought this was a Kate Bush song. So was it a British sitcom or something?

  • It is a Kate Bush song, the Ukulele Orchestra is a band which made a cover of it.

  • Oh! Danke!

  • This is an hilarous interpretation!!!

  • awesome

  • Brilliant, where was this originally downloaded from?

  • ZOMG! I had no idea there was a music video! That is HILARIOUS! Made my day!

  • This is so brilliant. I love this rendition and the video plot of stalking that couple is hysterical! I have tried valiantly to see any merit in Kate Bush's singing, dancing, and whatever it is she does, and it only deserves this kind of clever parody. I love this guy's voice and his jazz rendition. the live version is exceptionally good.

  • great video, shame the sound quality isn't better

  • That is just fantastic!
