  • come si chiama il bassista??

  • Masturbatory glory.

  • Some bitch says " this is not music according to my standards"..i was curios to know what is MUSIC according to her STANDARDS and checked her profile..guess what .i was quite AMUSED to find her playing a keyboard cover of MUSE..fucking bitch talking about music..what the fuck is wrong with these people..tell me how many musicians do u know who can play and sing like steve??..close ur eyes and listen to some real music or maybe just close ur shit hole and FUCK OFF!!

  • what a schmuck- he is making his fans pay him for an autograph

  • Mi piace molto il fatto que tanti virtuosi americani della chitarra hanno origine italiane... Vai, Zappa, etc... and he is one of the few ones able to tell a story with his instrument. Uno medio, nel vero senso della parola.

  • @KokoroSky2 ....dimentichi Satriani, Morello, Petrucci!!! :)

  • This is a good video foreal.''Steve Vai''.

  • This is one of the ugliest musical video I've seen and heard. Now I understand

(thanks for that Steve!) that this guy is a showman but, musically

speaking, these types of shows like "The Monsters Truck" or WWF ", like so many others have the "gringos". I say with all due respect.

  • Love the part from 5:30

  • Sausage party!

  • mehhehehe....his faces get worse than john mayer's...i wish i could sound as good as him so i could have the benefit of looking weird and getting away with it...

  • I love his music, but...why he has to sing too???

  • I think you have to be a Steve Vai fan to like this, because it didn't sound much good to me. I don't feel any emotion even though he's making those faces.

  • @PindaJoey Neither do I. I only see a guy playing short melodies very fast.

  • @SamyFOM Haha, thought I was the only person. :)

  • I've noticed quite a lot of guitarists don't use their pinkys much, it always seems quite strange to me.

  • @MegaYoshitsune - It's called bad technique and basically if they are too limited to even use the pinky, then they probably are also the same people who hate on anything that would requires it's use in the first place...probably hang their thumb over the fretboard too. Nothing more annoying than watching some web fingered guitarist limit themselves because they fear using all their fingers would make them look like Malmsteen and therefore souless because real guitarists only need one finger!

  • the faces only make it better

  • Wow, I thought this was the StSanders video Steve Vai shreds at one point. Listen to them back to back, honestly there isn't much difference lol!

  • Oh damn... After watching the shred of this song I cannot listen to it normally XD

  • NO SOUL!!

  • @DrNoth i agree with you man!!!!

  • i think steve vai was locked in a Cellar. Only given bread water and a guitar to him :D

  • I love this. But this video was on here twice already and got deleated both times. I hope this one will stay a little longer.

  • tasteless, especially the fretless part, he's not even playing to his loop

  • @heyblinkin1 that's called playing in between the dots, my friend.

  • Micheal Jordan fingers!!!

  • I love it !!!! deeper song !!!!!!

  • Am I hallucinating or at 9:43 does another guy actually come up behind Steve Vai and begin making extremely pleasured faces while thrusting in rhythm with him and reaching around him to sensuously stroke his guitar neck?

  • Oh my god Youre right!

  • @JLittleBass Not exactly... he's fretting the chords on the top neck while Steve strums. Steve is also sensuously stroking the bottom one.

  • For all you inadequate and overly jealous amatuer musicians bitching about his "snobbish" image, shut your fucking mouths and close your eyes and listen.

  • only steve vai plays a triple-necked fucking guitar >.>

  • HHmmmm I think we have all had our fill of Steve....... pie.

  • this is why so many people hate him...cause its ridic to point it sounds shitty

  • Pure fucking genius.

  • that fretless neck sure sounds beautifull:O

  • What a cock. Looks like 1980's Cliff Richard as well. Hilarious self indulgence.

  • If I was that awesome, I'd be a smug fuck as well.

  • yeah che figata è un grande cazzo!

  • interesting tri neck guitar that is...very well done

  • Is he gay?

    He looks gay.

  • who cares? he's great

  • outstanding !!!

  • Made it to 9:30... I tried but had to tap.... I just cannot take Steve Vai, or his triple neck guitars. This guy's so full of himself that he had a guitar built with 3 necks just so he wouldn't have to share the stage with 2 other guitar players!!

  • @roxtar10870

He has three necks because each of them sounds different.

He in fact DOES have two other guitarists on stage with him, one of which also plays keys.

    idiot...

  • I know what the other two necks do....

I'm commenting on the artistic vapidity of what this guy does...

  • car keys or house keys?

  • I enjoyed the solo, but the facial expressions were even better.

  • Overindulgent...sounds like Trans-Siberian Orchestra meets Satriani at his most annoying period...plain noodling and wanking. I actually like the shreds parody better than this crap

  • @guitarjag72 Agree totally with you!!

  • Everytime I hear Steve Vai's playing on this song it reminds me of Trevor Rabins playing.

It's like Steve Vai took some lessons from him.

    anyway. Vai rules.

  • steve vai is such a dickweed

  • Perhaps he has earned the right to indulge the audience for they do seem to enjoy such Vai indulgence!

  • Well, thumbs down me all you want, I loved this :)

  • its called guitar mastrubation, and makes him look like dickhead hard fucken out... What a fucken dum song

  • How unpleasant. He needs a best friend to have a word.

  • cum face

  • bass player was about a billion times cooler than steve vai

  • for all his talent and scale knowledge, technique and ability this is really quite bland. Vai is better than this fret wanking extravagansa. and i would never let another man slide along my fret board whilst self-indulging either, that's just indecent.

He can do better than this. less is more.

  • dont you have some frogs to be watching?

  • @secretfrogwatcher... you're an idiot if you think this isn't an example of his extreme talent.... "fret wanking" ha. get real.

  • @secretfrogwatcher you're pretty bland yourself. i found myself falling asleep before your mindless youtube complaints about an amazing guitar performance even began.

  • Vai a zappare la terra, Steve!

  • Sei solo un buffoncello, caro Steve!!

  • Is it just me, or does Vai look like Stephen King in this video?

  • for godsake, this is just one big guitar wank.

  • Steve Vai is amazing, however, in spite of all his chops and musicianship, somehow Nigel Tuffnel from Spinal Tap's guitar solo comes to mind. Because of how great a musician Steve is though, he's entitled. Also, his fans seem to love it so rock on Steve! Thanks for posting this, liondeeg.

  • when you get this good, your aloud a little self indulgence i think, or else what is it all for

  • This is some of the most self-indulgent music i've ever heard. It's pretty good, though.

  • wow i wish i had half his talent..really got off on it from 5:30 on intense...Thanks for posting

  • Clever idea. They should use slides on bass and violins too.

  • and sexy girls too ...

  • awesome sonmg i love to hear his songs ^^

  • I don't even know what to say about this.

He's obviously an enormously talented guitar player - probably one of the most technical players on the planet - and you have to stare in awe of some of the sounds he makes, and this was a pretty uplifting song, but...but...c'mon. From the attire, to the triple-necker, to the bass player bumping and grinding behind him, to the sheer wankery of it all... I'm torn.

    Huh.

  • Agreed!

  • Comment removed

  • he's obviously a good guitarist, but that sounds horrible, like a ball bearing rattling around in a biscuit tin !

é oviamente un chitarrista buono, ma quella mi pare un cuscinetto scossa in una scattola da biscotti !

  • i have to disagree, that was sublime.

  • reminds me of the improv intro to cliffs of dover

  • Killer man

  • @ Rehtomflow- i agree hilarious. a shame that it is real though. this is actual Vai. so dumb. so over the top. so boring. yet funny as hell.

  • Haha, hilarious! I've heard a lot about these fake shreds from StSanders and this didn't disappoint.

  • This is a great song and video...up until about 9:42. Then it has an awkward moment...almost gay, but not quite.

  • Am I the only one who can't stand the sound of a guitarist using vibrato with both the fretting hand and the whammy bar at the same time? It creates this really warbled sound, like the guitar is gargling or something.

Other than that, pretty amazing guitarist, just not my taste in music.

  • SHREDS!

  • Hm, strangely my first comment vanished...

I said I didn't like this at the beginning and was quite disappointed with it, but after 6:20 I got more into it and found the rest really enjoyable...

  • Besides - it looks pretty cool when they're playing together on the same guitar :-)

  • I honestly can barely tell the difference between Vai and StSanders. This is terrible.

    And I play guitar.

  • hahaha i said the EXACT same thing =)

  • wooooooooooooow

  • Steve Vai reminds me of the Fonz at the beginning of this vid.

  • lol? that is total crap?

  • that was my reaction when i played an American deluxe at a friends house.

  • Jajaja mostro sacro, buena expresión, la verdad se le queda corto, Vai, maestro de maestros, ese G3 fué su noche

The expression "mostro sacro" is so short for him. He´s amazing!! Master of masters, that G3 was the Vai´s night!!!

  • no no no it was malmsteen's nights!!!!

    sorry

  • this is pure shit from the fountain of diarrhea.

  • I almost couldn't tell the difference between this and the Shred vid

  • I never have cared much for this kind of playing. It is flashy and it is technical and it is good. But it just wasnt connecting with me. After watching this though I must say that I was truly mesmerized. It literally slowed my breathing and was like hearing a Siren of the sea sing a love song to the world. Amazing. I think Im going to find more Vai. Im very impressed with this so thank you for posting.
  • pretentious much?

  • just wanted to say it. :P

  • Amazing performance.. and lots of emotions in his hands.

  • that was horrible

  • Nice, u know hes not even thinking cause hes pulling the faces. When u got the faces u got the talent. WOO STEVE VAI!

  • Comment removed

  • i believe the shred version is better ^^

  • You call him talented, and then say his music sucks. That makes complete sense.

  • yes it does. It means he has skill but he does not particularly like how he plays. And I am i the same boat as him.

  • steve vais guitar playing reminds me of lsd

  • To all you steve vai haters out there..expect a very harsh letter soon..IN CAPITAL LETTERS!!!!!

  • ke figo pero mi fa cagare!

  • he's talented, but he looks like an idiot. Also the solo doesn't even sound good, it's not really music (by my standards). But i do know that this isn't any kinda easy shit that anyone is capable of doing. props for talent, jeers for ugly solo.

  • To people like jozozo100 . . . fuck you!!!!!!!

  • gotta love the fretless :D

  • I really don't understand what all the fuss is about this guy, he just jams and everyone is like 'WOW, this guy is awesome...' pffff... overrated crap

  • some of his vids are really cool but this one isnt the great and they are freaking out i feel the same way

  • even if he may just be jamming, that's kinda what all guitarists do. They're just jamming, they find what sounds good after they jam, and then produce it. Also, he isn't "just jamming" he's destroying the neck. I will admit that while he is talented, he looks like a douchebag, and his music sucks.

  • hey man what music are you into?

  • The faces Steve Vai makes are so ridiculous. It's almost as if someone just shoved a dildo in his butt.

  • i sa w him in columbus ohio in 94. he friggin k illed it.

no body can touch him nobodie eva.

    he was awesom in crossroads!

he friggn played the devils axe man!

    stevie friggin vai!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cool guitar...gotta weigh a ton tho...im sure.

  • I feel freedom....

  • 6:07 onwards, awesome

  • Are you guys sure this isn't the shred version?

  • *lol

  • hahahah

  • Someone didn't watch the whole video...

  • Great player but that guitar is just plain silly.

  • Silly in a good way haha

  • nor for this song he needs it

  • its not all about speed its about control and technicality aswell

  • normally I never comment something. o.k. he knows how to play the guitar. But that's all. I don't care if he's gay, because at least he only loves one person in the world. Himself. And I don't know if that's a good idea.

  • Wow so much comments full of shit. Here is one for the haters. If you dont like it just... very easy... press the X at the upper right corner. I know you can do it! Aaaand after that... after pressing the X button... just go fuck yourself.

  • I have a problem over here - I'm one of those retards with a mac. So there's no X in the upper right.

So i kinda stick here, but at least wih a working keyboard.

And that brings me to comment that video:

In my opinion Steve Vai is gay, and his music is the uninspired wanking of a bored old man that at least should stop singing.

Maybe he could do a decent job as a guitar teacher, though.

  • this isn't the full version, in the full version his guitar ejaculates all over the audience.

  • Be glad you weren't there guys if you hate it so much i don't like it eighter but he's talented you must admit that!!!

  • triple kneck, wank wank, overrated cunt

  • Suck my dick. Wank wank.

  • You're right. It's incredible....there's so little difference between this and the 'shred' version.....it's just tossing off on guitar. I'm glad I'm a pianist.

  • it sounds the same as the shred version , he's crap

  • god this is bullshit

  • he kinda looks like dio

  • shit its so gay when the other gay comes gaying with steeve

  • can you play or just talk shit

  • its like rush but without the spirit

  • ugh. He's talented, but all that retarded shit he does with his face just pisses me off. It actually looked like he was wanking or something when he was on the fretless. Soooo annoying!

  • 5:20 ok I got to go, fweeew!!!

  • talented or not, this is nothing more than 10 minutes of musical masturbation. until the band comes in, i would barely even call it a song as much as it's a dude with too much time & talent dicking around on the guitar. once the "song" starts, it only gets worse.

  • +1

    Yngwie Malmsteen FTW

    (((-:

  • Hahaha, tallboy27 is jealous :P

  • @tallboy27

totally man. some of his expressions like @ 3:11 really push through the "musical masturbation" aspect of it all.

he has some good songs, but this here is a total flop. much more prefer Paul Gilbert or Steffen Schackinger.

  • Are all Steve Vai fans like the guy at 00:32? That would explain a lot. STEVE VAI!!!

  • 3:36 this is what he's thinking "oh my god, Im gonna cum". haha jk this is amazing

  • Arguing about anything in the comments section of an awesome Steve Vai video = failure on so many different levels.

  • the one and only god auf the strings!!!!!

    much love from german

  • Whats wrong with you people?

  • I like Hendrix's music, but I like Steve Vai better. Just my opinion.

  • depends on my mood, although both are chillazed

  • haha, this is shit. cant believe some of you are chatting out your arse about hendrix, if you dont consider him one of the greatest guitarists that ever lived you are either stupid, or have no musical knowledge whatsoever

  • Hendrix was amazing for his time. Good now, but Steve technically blows him out the water, plus Steve touches me emotionally more than Hendrix.

  • Okay, I can agree with that.

  • Or, you are one of the few that buy into the hype that he was so revolutionary, that without him, electric guitar would never have been. Which is bullshit. Great blues players were around LONG before Hendrix. His claim to fame was being a drugged up self proclaimed "chief motherfucker" who went crazy and burnt his guitar. He died young, so he's a hero. Kinda like Kurt Cobain and Janis Joplin. Now they consider Cobain a guitar legend, and the guy can't play. I see a pattern here, do you?

  • his claim to fame was being one of the best guitar players of all time. just because you can play fast dosnt mean anything. he played with more feeling than most guitarists nowadays could never dream of having. did you ever noticed that over half of the US population back then were drugged up? and you are just ignorant for that statement about kurt cobain.

  • It thoroughly amazes me that anybody who knows anything about any type of music would ever think Steve FUCKING Vai is actually better than Jimi Hendrix. Steve Vai isn't pushing any boundaries. He just uses classically technical scales and squeezes as many of their notes into as little of a time period in as douchey of a way possible. And saying that he's SOULFUL? His music is meaningless. It's all just geared towards 20 something-year-old guys who suck at guitar so they think he's awesome.

  • You my friend, speak out the orifice on your backside. No your right, For the love of god isn't soulful at all.. lol, and classically technical scales? do you know what your talking about? he's just using major and minor maybe with a few accidentals thrown in and occasionally the whole tone scale.

  • I personally find it funny how technically incompetant guitarists get jealous at people like steve vai and try to use stupidity to try and back up their idiotic claims.

  • As opposed to you, who, who are some fat middle aged bald guy who wishes he would've picked up a guitar and made it as a rockstar 20+ years ago?

  • Oh, get over yourself. The very best of the best (Townshend, Satriani, Frusciante to mention a few) always rave about Hendrix. Are they high?

Not to mention he has recordings to speak for him - and to anyone with ears, high or not, they're still amazing. To this very day, this very audience.

  • 2:50 HAIR POWER ACTIVATED

  • Maybe he is amazing in technical, but to me his music is meaningless. Jimi Hendrix can play stuff like Hear My Train A Commin' and touch my soul with every note.
