There might be a "best" spec but you can still play an alt spec and sorta do almost as good. However frost is not a spec to even be competitive with its the worst spec you can possibly choose. I don't blame the guild for denying that guy at all. Hey im gona heal as a Feral druid lololol

the thing u got to look at with choosing a sub-par spec is the buff they bring that no 1 else in the raid brings and if it would benefit the raid more than what it would u being the best spec, like with frost mage they bring a 3% damage increase buff so if no 1 else in the raid brings that buff(BM hunter pet or Ret pallys) then the raid should gain more total dps than what you would lose from being the sub-par spec.

At the last question: Just play what you want to play. I play a Death Knight with Unholy DW spec and gear and i get laughed at all the time as well, but I find it fun to play as Unholy DW, even if i do 500 DPS less, than when i would be Frost DW. The bad thing is that i always get conversations with people. They claim Unholy DW is outright the worst DPS spec ever, while I can easily beat them at the meters... and they still claim it's bad! i HATE that. The evidence is right IN YOUR FACE, dude...

Being able to play with people on other server, and match make, would help a small niche, which i'm part of.

My buddy plays one a server, full of baddies, low population, and he has troubles getting gear. If i were able to group with him over real ID, and do a dungeon, I'd be able to carry him with my guild.

Also it could allow people with many alts over many servers, to do more stuff in general.

In response to the last question: I play a BM hunter with a silithid pet (and have been for a very long time (BC since 3.0 launched and I could get an exotic pet). I usually out dps most other hunters of the same gear level as me and even some that outgear me significantly that are marks or surv. Play what you know and what you're good at, not what's fotm.

I had an idea, Blizz said that The Dragonwrath staff was going to have some certain special ability to it that will make it really cool. I was trying to consider ideas for that. My idea, unless it may be OP, is that the dragon you pair up with in the Nexus, will come and plant a napalm strike like ability. sort of like Deep breath from Valiona, but A LOT smaller. What are your thoughts?

The thing is, frost mages are better then fire mages on some fights. :> Fire is better aoe frost is better singletarget. Frost is equal with arcane untill you got the trinket from sinestra and i prefer staying frost since it has almost equal stats as fire.

I feel like paying extra for something that give you another in game functionality is very different than mobile apps. One is on a phone and is an outside resource whereas this is something IN GAME. I don't like it, and even if it was just another $3 I literally can't afford it.

Premium and Subscription should not co-exsit. I know it doesn't effect you Lore but you would be up in arms if it did. If blizzard are considering adding Premium options the game should go FP2. It's just pure money grubbing asking for people to pay for a Subscription, Premium payment and 3 expansions as well as the first game to play the whole game.

It's easier to see it when whatever is being passed on is something bad, like say racism, but yes any thing being taught is a form of brainwashing. Improvements can be made after learning but you're still told exactly what to do and to do it that way a first.

Racials - I see no issues. If you want a particular class, you're already limited to which races you can play. That's not even a choice, but a limitation set by Blizzard.

As for not changing existing characters, this happens every patch. My Resto Sham used to be an OK healer but also fun to level/quest. Now it's an insane healer and really really horrible when solo due to changes that came in Cata. Same for many other classes/specs. They constantly shake up classes.

My n52te setup:

Left 3 buttons Shift, Alt, Ctrl. The rest are the number keys. This way I have 48 actionbar buttons keybound. I use Dominos so I only see the actionbar that is active, but that's not really necessary as long as I can map the keys to abilities.

I then use the D-pad as a backup movement option, mostly. Forward, left and right, but no back. That is jump. My mouse has 2 keys that are mapped to autorun and back. The last button (above D-pad) is Esc. It works - <3 keybinds.

Melee dps has been at a great disadvantage this tier, not just from survival and "bad" boss designs but if you look at wowhead the top 5 dps is all ranged with the exception of combat rogues at cleave bosses.

Ranged is "favoured" because they have higher overall dps, higher overall survival and alot less downtime on dps in most cases.
