Roky Erickson is still alive. he's making a comeback. As for "The Blob", of course you'll think the remake was better than the original. you were a kid in the 80s. I was a kid in the 70s in Northern Ireland so I still watch Hammer films. I especially love "Vampire Circus".

Great stuff guys! Just wanted to mention that UB might have mixed up Rocky Erickson and Daniel Johnston on the plane crash story. In the documentary "The Devil and Daniel Johnston", they talk about Daniel's dad being a pilot and he was flying them in his small plane, and Daniel (who is mentally ill) took the keys and threw them out the window, causing them to crash.
