I first read the outlander 18 years ago, I just recently re read it and went out and got the rest of the series. I had saved the first book for so long waiting for sequels and had forgotten about it..but it stands the test of time..it is a richly rewarding series if you enjoy reading as much as I do. I would love to have the movie with Gerard Butler playing Jamie, think he fits the role perfectly!

Yeah, I´m a fan of Gerry since Dracula2000 and he fascinates me more and more every day. He is a really talented actor - I love especially his silent and desperate roles like his character in "Pleae!", "The Jury" or "Dear Frankie". Those roles shows best how talented he is to show someone so much feeling in his face without saying anything. I hope you know what I mean.

I perfectly know what you mean. GB has a very expressive face, indeed and Dear Frankie, or Phantom of the Opera is a fine proof for that.

Another great actor that speaks volumes just with his eyes/facial expression is Colin Firth for sure....give a try at "Girl with a pearl earring" or "Pride and Prejudice" - the 1996 BBC series. He's trully amazing !

If you go on Diana Gabaldon's website she explains why a movie has not been made yet in a video. The producers want to change too much and she refuses, such as Claire being American and her war time being in the Viet Nam war instead of WWII. What the producers do not understand is that the fans would not support it if anything was changed. I do not blame Diana!!
