how many degrees is that? i found a place online that sells a front end kit for the honda shadow and its raked up to anywhere from 9 degrees to 18degrees and i wanna see how drastic an 18 degree rake would be
@MrMannyvillegas If you get it you'll understand the cost..it's one quality piece. Give Paul at Stumpwerx a call for it, I'm sure he can save you a bit money on it.
I love this bike, I want those forks~!! How much did they cost?? I am in Lancaster California and i am serious about those forks, I have a 1300 vtx. Thanks
Very nice bike. I just bought a VTX 1300 Retro. Cant wait to customize it! I think your bike would look even better if you had some chrome on that radiator!
@Shaado86 This is old video, much has changed since but I haven't had the time to shoot a new video. I now have a custom made radiator cover which WAS originally chrome which was acid stripped and powder coated black with a custom stainless steel lazer cut grill.
Really awesome job!! Love the air lift! I had a stock version of this bike, found it to be a little slow, moved into a Vmax and considering raking out the front. Bike Looks Bitchin !!!
@AVJoey Thanks, It's my cruiser...I also own a sportbike:) The 1300 won't win you drag races but I've taken this bike (*in it's current state) up to 120MPH verified with GPS.
@bankofamerica2530 They are LA Choppers BFL2 bars with 4" rise and 8" pullback. The problem is that they are made for a Harley and will not fit on a stock VTX.
Dude, this is "Madness". What did this bike start out as? I've always been all about Harley. Buying this summer. But NOW,,,Now, my doubt are surfacing. What yr, make, model? Fill me in with something dude!
@intheburbs Thanks, It started as a 2007 Honda VTX-1300c. Check out the link of the build in the details of the video,it should give you more than enough info.
dumbcomputers, my research on chopping a VTX as an alternative to purchasing a Honda Fury brought me to your posts on the VTX Forum. Your bike is very, very nice! What rake do you have in the front? Thanks!
This is simply an incredible build, very clean and very sharp! I love the air ride system. The wife and I are getting ready to purchase a VTX1300 soon and your bike has really inspired me to find a 1300C (which I liked to begin with anyways). Once the wife gets used to riding and we get another bike just for her, I can start modding the X. Your bike is the perfect overall stance and look that I'm going for, very well done!
@OutKa5t It started out as a 1300c so it already had pegs. But on a 1300r all you have to do is swap out the foot controls from a 1300c to get rid of the boards. HTH.
looks like your radiator is similar in size to mine, "Irate" makes some cool chrome covers for it if your interested.... as if this bike needed any more chrome lol. Love the sun beams running over all the chrome @ 0:46-0:56 looks so sweet
Already updated it with Show Chrome's new radiator cover, which was striped of the chrome and powder coated black and a custom laser cut stainless steel grill was inserted in place of the one it came with. Check out the link in the video details for pics.
Steel is much easier to modify. I custom cut the rear of the fender to my liking. Plus, I widen it to support up to a 260mm tire for possible future upgrade.
nice

that arnott system looks pretty cool, i push a lot of legends and platinum air suspension but that arnott looks smooth.

It's very different then all the others, it uses a traditional oil filled shock for dampening. Can you say zero pogo effect:)

Man I love those forks. What brand are they and what size wheel is on it?
gabagoosh 2 years ago 2
It's a Kewlmetal Pro Street 45* rake kit with full length fork covers. Front wheel is a 21"x3.5" with a 120 series tire.
dumbcomputers 2 years ago
what fork covers do you use?
klbrueggeman 2 years ago
They are a part of the Kewlmetal Pro Street Rake kit. They will don't work with any other setup.
