One of the best bands period r&b or otherwise, them and loose ends are the most underrated bands ever, never got the overall pub and respect they were due. when music was music and it was our own. blacks were proud to dominate their own catagory of music and made no apologies for not scoring on the top 40 crossover charts, did not need it did not want it. thanks for the post

The S.O.S. Band was the shit. I remember having The Finest jawn on a 45 single and playing it on my Fisher Price record player that had that big ass blue turntable arm back in the 80s. I know some of yall know what I'm talkin about. One of my first vinyls. Man those were the days.

The SOS band was much more then just "Take your time do it right".....this band was one of the best back in the day. This type of music was sooooo much better then the crap today.

A Jam and Lewis classic. I remember when Prince fired them because there was a blizzard and they couldn't join Prince for a concert. They were on break and during this break they produced the SOS Band. This worked out for them. R&B has changed and I am so happy to have experienced great music like this....it was a BAND no sampling.
