  • Wow i bet that was the best smoke you ever had, having grew it and all! I smoke about 1 packet of Old Holborn per week. But my wife smokes 6 packs of Bensons a week. How can i calculate how many plants I,ll need? Where did you learn how to do it like what sites are the best? Thanks enjoy that smoke dude lol

  • brilliant vidoes!!

  • next make your own paper

  • @tatetalk why not take it one step further, and roll it up in a cured tobacco leaf, like a cigar. 100% tobacco cigarette :)

  • @zenjirou BAMF

  • SURE does feel good to be able to grow ones own.and not be so G @D dam dependant on the commercial growers. HUM.grow you own food your own BACCY.who needs the dam gov

  • why did you wet the tobacco in the beginning?

  • makes me wanna smoke :)

    excellent job man!

  • thats amazing! Looks just like golden virginia once its done. And you grew this in the UK just using sunlight?

  • Why did you put the mosaic tile over your face? Great video; how fine did the Cuthof shred the tobacco?

  • what is the temp for the oven and how long in the oven??

  • Why did you decide to toast the tobacco? I understand that toasting does add a certain flavor characteristic to tobacco, but usually only burley leaves are toasted.

  • What's that stuff your spraying the leaves with ???

  • how does it compare to the tobacco found in retail cigarettes?

  • Man, to go to all the effort of doing some great work, just to see it go up in smoke in a cigarette makes me sad.

    Learn to smoke a pipe.

  • this is just a real american (im guessin he's american) doing what americans do -- if they ban it or tax it, we say SCREW YOU GOVERNMENT! I'll do it myself!

  • @japierce15 He is british.. it says in the description in first video

  • @japierce15 I think he,s from the uk dude i can tell by the electric plugs. But us brits are the same as you guys over the pond we are sick to death of paying like 8 quid for a packet of smokes I,m gonna grow my own too.

  • @Hannible100 Well start a revolution! ;) btw, i don't smoke, just sayin...

  • awesome videos mate, did you just use a meat mincer to grind up the baccy?

  • after you put it through the food processer could you use it as dip/chew?

  • Howd it taste?

  • you can "see" the cancer in that shit man, wtf.

  • @samljer food that you are eating is cancer M.S.G look it up........wtf......dick fuck

  • @27simber there is a cancer for everything. stop attacking ppl. i have lost loved ones over so many different types of cancer, this included. dry cleaning, what you put under your arms not to smell, even the air you breathe. I feel where you are coming from but please do not berate someone who is just trying to relate to this.

  • @samljer cigarettes don't cause cancer. if they did, everyone who ever smoked just one would have gotten cancer. My grandmother has lung cancer and she never ever ever ever ever ever smoked. Ain't that something.

BTW, i never smoked either. Didn't say it was healthy ;)

  • Good job that looks like some tasty tabacca

  • and what is the temperature and how long for...

  • how long do you cure it for.....

  • is this as bad for you as the prcessed baccer?

  • @slipdip1 No. Tobacco is actually healthy assuming your body is up for a stresser. The problems come from fucked up unhealthy people using it in massive amounts.

  • @aguineapig thank you cause i know natives use to smoke it before and didnt get sick

  • what time and temp did you cook it for?

  • Is That Like Red Man?

  • Is it a must to compress after cure and mill them for cigarette? Can I use scissor to cut it up after curing and smoke it right away,

  • So, how the results of your work tasted?

  • i use vera cruz midnight tubes theyre all black with three gold stripes...real beautiful!

  • He just bypassed the system of $ and shit and will smoke healthy tobacco. Good job!

  • I read recently that the fed gov't is planning to halt the sale of cigars online.Just like cigarettes. Then raise the praise to the point where it will be too expensive to afford in stores. All for the sake of healthcare. To me that's bullshit. I mean this in a non rascist way. Let mexicans come to america. They can have our gov't. We can move to mexico were they don't have to deal with such an idiot gov't and president. Obama is satan in disguise. He is a cancer to this country!

  • How long did you live it in the oven ?? and why ?? Thanks

  • hey cool videos, i am growing myself this season. i was wondering how long did u bake it for and at what temp? thanx =)

  • do you take some precautions against molding when curing the tobacco? that is the only thing i am worried about, would be a bitch if the tobacco would mold after all the hard work:(

    nice video by the way.

  • Way to go! Natural without the 599 additives the tobacco companies add. It's the additives that kill ya, not the tobacco.

  • Hi, Would Havana be good as a cigarette or is it meant to be in cigars?

  • what are you spraying on the leafs?

  • Stunning work!

Just a few questions regarding the actual growing phase- I take it you're in the U.K from the title of your first vid- did you grow it indoors? If not did you grow them in summer? (Take it they won't survive the British winter) What strain of tobacco was it? How long do you bake it and at what temp?

Sorry. I'm a complete novice, but I need to do it! £6 per box is daylight robbery!

  • homegrown for the fuckin win!!!

  • Cause this was your first attempt where did you get all the step by step information about curing and drying ect. Please HELP!! :P

  • It was pressed and baked to because he was using the pipe-tobacco Cavendish method. Cavendish tobacco is more a "processing" and not a type, though usually it's Virginia Burl or others. I'm interested what it was he sprayed it with (ie. rum or cherry juice) before pressing. I'm very interested on the taste. How'd it taste, spiracy?

  • why did you bake your tobacco? the brick and cuttiing I get, but why the oven bit? I am growing my own for the second year this season, and you can cure, ferment age, brick shred and smoke without baking.....is there an advantage that I have missed?

Great vids tho man, I love your set up

  • I wonder what it taste like, Boy i thought that once it was dried you could smoke it I was wrong. Nice videos

  • I wander if this is legal. Cant they bust you for tax evasion or something ?

Great video . How long did it take from start to harvest ?

  • As Long As You Grow It For Yourself,If You grow it and sell it you must pay taxes on it. :-)

  • no cuz hes paying for the papers and stuff

  • I wonder where you can still buy such a grinder or tobacco and the tobacco fermented to add some flavor ..thanks

  • oven temp I used: 120oC for 20mins (experimental) because its wrapped in tin foil it steam fuses the flavour in (I found), flavour I used was alcohol first batch was Wild Turkey aged 8 years 50% alcohol 101 proof. Tasted just like port royal whiskey, but with a more fresher taste and drag. depending on what you like you could experiment with anything wine, rum, tequila, etc. As for the cutting kit I've just bought another one today I live in NZ tho so google cuthof click 2nd link ship internatnl

  • Thank you for the useful tips .. for growing tobacco, I just started last year, so I always meet good advice ... the way I live in Slovakia :)... you have any chance e-mail address? if I had a problem with something so I would like to consult with you: D. .. thank you yet

  • good video. thanks friend . im trying to get started myself and i found this very inspiring to watch . we all gotta start growing it no doubt about it, the taxes are just fucked. cant keep up with the prices. sick of paying through the nose for shit. i got an area in my basement set up and ready to go but now all i need is seeds. know where i can get em?

  • how long the tobacco is needed in the oven to ferment, and how many degrees

  • He is wetting (either with a flavour eg whiskey, or water) the air dried / smell cured leaves to be molded into a brick to be put through a cutter. The oven bit is to dry the brick somewhat and to burn off any alcohol, The mold brick and grinder are from the "Cuthof cutting kit" designed especially for tobacco (available in stores). The hand grinder perfectly shreds the tobacco, you may also need to further dry the tobacco once shredded to a burning stage, fan dry on some cardboard does this.

  • what does the curing process do?

  • my first attempt they died on the 5th week :( that was 5 years a go

  • Forget taxes. I am growing my own, till the day that I die. Inhale for the great video.

  • where did yuou get the seeds mate?

  • what is that black shit coming out/off of you tobacco?

i don't know if i'd want to smoke that

  • Believe it or not, that's all the moisture coming out of the leaves. The tobacco has to be wet so it can be molded into a brick before it can be cut. The mold squeezes out all the moisture.

  • hey dude, beautiful video! enjoy the fruits of your labor!! (although I smoke cigars and the pipe, not cigarettes)

  • Nice video but worthless unless you explain to people what your doing. Otherwise great job.

  • what is the liquid u're spraying on the dryed leafs (0:15)

  • That's some top flavoring/enhancer so that the tobacco will taste better when it's smoked. If that's not put on it, it will taste very bitter.

  • @labantolaban

as its been wet, its all the moisture coming from the leaves, letting it dry and moudling it into a brick (before the oven...)

just water from the baccy :)

  • what tobacco is this

  • WHERE DID U GET TEH GRINDER?

  • what hoven temperature and time?

  • Very well done sir :) very well done..

  • I'm not worthy...amazing...thanks for showing us.

  • wat did u spray on it in the sink and whats that liquid ozzing out

  • Excellent!!

  • HA!! This is great! Soooo.....? How was the smoke buddy?

  • what are you spraying at 0:15 ?

Who can help me... what i must to do to make cigars (not cigarette, and just the preparing the tabacco leaf, because i know how to roll the cigars).

  • You sure you know how to roll the cigar?

  • 70%...

  • hello

You have done a great job. its not about the cost, its all about the skill and learning.

just one question, whta was your oven temp. and time?

    cheers Tmi

  • i got a plant growin in my yard how long do i let the leaves dry for?

  • brilliant! how did it taste?

    thanx for sharing

  • That grinder is incredible, thats a perfect shag cut, where'd u get it?

  • it looks like an oldschool meat grinder

  • i am inspired to try that myself, but why the blanked out face in the end lol? is it illegal to grow tobacco?

  • Great video. I may start growing my own tobacco now. What was the machine u used to pack the cigarette.

  • Thanks for posting this, I was semi-intrigued by these.

  • u got to film and put it in youtube.

  • its time to save money and grow your own tobacco.

  • I'm allmost certain that this guy grows his own weed too !

  • whats the difference between weed and tobacco?

  • What's the difference between your mom and your dad..

  • the word is different

  • lol, you got a sweet video btw. Do you seriously not know the difference of weed and tobacco though?

  • do they taste different ???? :D My friends will use the word to mean the same think as just smoking a cigarette . The dictionary also states multiple meaning, and as a slang. I imposed this question, because i thought there is a general distinction in medical field, thats all. : ) have a high smoking day .

  • If you want the buzz like a major brand cigarette gives you, you need to add ammonia. Alot healthier without though. The ammonia makes the nicotine a freebase form and that's the major diff between cigar and cigarette filler

  • so thats how people get sick ?

  • A honey / water mix.

    6 parts water - 1 part honey.

    Helps tobacco retain moisture.

  • @spiracy Is there Nicotine and tar in it?

  • @BatspindaVL Of course. Assuming its smoked, any substance contains "Tar" (the actual term is soot). Soot is the primary "bad thing" in tobacco. All tobaccy contains nicotine as well, the primary "good thing" in tobaccy.

  • Check out w w w . seedman . c o m for seeds and the press and grater he uses. I have seeds on order, a carton of Marlboros is $65 now where I live. Thanks Obama!

  • roll-your-own is now $4.30 here in NY !!!!

  • aint that but a bitch?

  • hey what was the thing you used to shred the blocks of leaf?

  • looks to be a meat grinder i think

  • Thanks for the reply. I like menthol so if i spray some eucalyptus extract will that do the job?

  • I believe the menthol is in the cigarette filter.

  • Nah i use zig zag light tubes. The tobacco is definetly flavored.

  • Depends what brand, as peterjackson roll-your-own has a menthol tobacco out, and i just take a rizla and roll it up, taste exactaly like there menthol taylor mades. So i assume they spray down the tobacco/tubes ect in the process.

  • Menthol is taken from a spearmint plant.

  • @cityofash possibly ive seen tobacco that was menthol in the cigar shop and also filters that were menthol so i guess it can be both

  • the flavor he sprayed was more likely broubon water cause thats what my papa use and they taste pretty good 70% jack

30% water but you can experiment with it and and what have you

  • great vid, im planning on growing some tobacco of my own

  • What was that flavor you sprayed on it?

  • A honey water mix. Honey helps it retain some moisture. Don't want it too dry.

  • He more then likely used a cigarette tobacco so there was no hope for a cigar.

Im doing the same this summer but for cigars.

growing your own though decreases health risks. cigarets home grown are better for you.

There are people who grow tobacco in alaska they can grow this stuff any where.

  • Did you know that parts of Alaska have about the same growing season as Northern Georgia?

  • :( all those potential cigars gone to waste

  • how did u turn them into filtered fags??

  • what kind of tobacco did you use? and how long did the who proses take from planting the seed to smoking it? Im trying to start this myself

  • Maryland 609.

  • About 4-5 months.

  • cool

  • cool

  • im a newbie on the whole homegrown tobacco stuff. I've ordered seeds, and i dont think i'll have any problems growning them.. but i have no idea how to cure it. I want some of my own tobacco to roll cigarettes with. Can you please tell me how i cure tobacco? for my own rolling backy. Thanks, any1 plz help! :)

  • where the hell do you get the seed for tobacco.

i am growing pot plants right in my desk dwar i have ten fouls all on the out side and i have a UAV lamp in there and a lil fan. im going to try to grow tobacco.

  • e-bay.

  • how did u censor ur face i wana know pleASE TELL ME TOBACCO MAN

  • eiting the fucking video noob... i have sony vagis that will work but its not free

  • Very cool.......I live in North Carolina and grew up on a tobacco farm. We were a small farm, only about 25 ac. of tobacco. When I was growing up I would cure some leaves and role some cigars every year. You'r video is a cool way to grow your own. Keep it up!

  • could yoU send me some seeds in the post?

  • uhmm how long does it take you grow a single plant?

  • I have two questions. At what temperature do you run your kiln at and also, Lets say you are doing 50lbs of tobacco how do you store your tobacco after it has been run through the kiln?

    Thanks!

  • Hey i grow my own tobacco too. But i got a question. My tobacco has been hung for two weeks and still the color is green. I think it should be already yellowish-brown or smth.

And what was the heat, when you put your tobacco in foil paper and put in oven?

  • It really depends on the type of tobacco as each type can contain more water than others. Additionally, the hanging method and and curing process can differ depending on the average temperature in our area.

  • I live in maryland and harvest in early/mid august with a daily average temp between 80-90 and an average humidity in the same ballpark. I air cure my tobacco for cigars and pipes. You can hang the entire plant, or just the leaves. I found that the best method (for broad leaf, sacred, and monte calm) is once the leaves are harvested place them in a hot water bath (just below or at boiling), and add 2 to 3 cups of bourbon (flavor and removal of bugs, eggs and the sticky sap).

  • After the bourbon/water bath, I hang the leaves on wire in my shed. The bath helps break down the cell walls a bit and absorbs the bourbon. This effectively kills the leaves, and the drying process is sped up. After just a few days the yellow/browning takes over. Hanging green leaves or plants without the bath will leave you open to worms and increased browning time due to the live plant. I one hung a full plant roots up from the shed, it bloomed for 4 months without water. So you can see why!

  • get 16 big plants of fucking tobacco + 5 or 1 big bush of weed it's hidden :D and u got tobacco+marijuana=HIGH :D up in the sky

  • that little bit from 16 plants that take alot of room.. and took 8 weeks.. dude i'd rather just buy tabacco.. but okay it could be a hobby6 of yours. not something for me.

  • get some marijiwaaanaa

  • Sir, i salute you..

  • ill take this one for you i bet he sprayed water on it but my ? is where did you get that press at

  • I sprayed a mix of honey and water.

Honey helps the tobacco to retain moisture.

  • I hate the fact that its illegal to grow your own in places, its like, "we have it you dont and we want the profits off of the plants you can grow yourself". I know its not for health reasons they deny ya otherwise they'd put a limit on your buying them. Those money grubbers. I'd love to grow them myself, but given the economy I think its better I get used to the idea I need to quit

  • What country you live in? Here in America it's legal for personal usage, as long as you don't make a profit off of it. So unless you're a plantation selling several tons to a corporation, you can't afford to make a business out of it.

  • Great-did you try building a cigar?

  • wot did u spray on it

  • mmm that looks yummy!

  • Most Excellent!

  • ok i have two questions.

    1) wat did you spray on it?

    2) how long did you put the brick in the oven for?

  • wat was the end result like? any good?

  • Tasted like normal rolling tobacco.

  • that was amazing! can you buy seeds/cuttings legally in the uk or do you need to get them online? and do you need uv lights for them to grow? cheers!

  • all you need is sunlight. I feed the plants with organic liquid seaweed to give them a good boost.

  • i just bought my seeds off of ebay i got about 1000 seeds for like 5$

  • why did you blur your face?

    is it illegal growing tobacco?

  • I blur my face so people I insult on you tube don't know my face :)

  • you should chew that instead of smoking it, i would

  • hello, really glad i found your video .. would appreciate if u have some more details, what conditions it needs to grow, outdoors too ? what seeds - where to get em etc

  • w w w . c o f f i n a i l s . c o m

This is where i got my seeds from and the forums have all the info you need.

  • well done.....good effort.....but we needed it last year(ha).....grandapa tintin is a legend.

  • Great video and ingenuity. Anyway, why don't you shred the leaves when they are green and then dry them out? Wouldn't that be faster? I don't smoke (anything) but think this is interesting. nice goin'

  • The drying process is helped along with a breeze. In the first video you can see the fans working. I ran them for 4 hours a day. If the leaves are shreaded they would blow away. The sap within the plants stalk is acidic and would destroy the lot.

  • Question is how much did all that gear cost?

You could of just got up off yer arse and bought a packet of cigar-fucking-rettes MWHAHAHA!!!!

  • £20 for curing chamber poly.

    £35 for oil heater

    £10 for fan

    £20 thermohydrometer

shreader is optional since there are many ways to cut the tobacco.

a press can be made of a few bits of wood with a G clamp.

This year onwards my only cost will be compost, but since i have a compost bin....

  • Its toasted! ;)

  • I love all your videos. Just wish you'd talk instead of playing the music for once so we could get some tips. Great work.

  • A superb video.

    Greetings from sweden.
