Cloud uses the sleeve on his left arm to hide the red ribbon of Aerith that he took when she was killed by Sepiroth (You Can See It on The Advent Children movie). So it's strange that Cloud is dressed that way with Aerith. Btw Cloud is in love of Tifa And Zack with Aerith (you can see that on FF7 Crisis Core)

I guess you can say it's wasted effort for some but, if re-playing a game and re-leveling up characters is wasted effort then people should be playing games right? :)

@khrikulover actually re-playing the game with the characters back to level 0 is a good thing because if you re-play the game with overleveled characters the game will be super easy and the fun would go away.

Okay, I will NEVER understand why they made Cloud into Mr. Mopeyguts after the first initial game. Cloud was NOT that dark of a character. In fact he had kind of a dry sense of humor. I think they keep trying to make him more like Squall, which I advise against.

It has already been established by FF7 Ultimania that Aerith is to Cloud a loving mother, a symbol of his sins, someone to protect him and his beloved ones. Not once a lover. The one who got her heart is a dark haired Soldier named Zack Fair, a friend of Cloud. On the other hand, Tifa is described as Cloud's lover, the mother of the family they formed together. Cloud asked her to always be with him. That's how it is, FF fans.

1. It was said in third person that Cloud is Aerith's koibito and the kanji used for that koibito is romantic unlike Tifa's where it wasn't.

2. In Tifa's nove, she clearly says that she looks at Cloud as a child and she is beginning to have motherly feelings for him.
