We unhappily live in a dangerous world where it is necessary to project power . Furthermore, most citizens want a social safety net. Although I think he's missing some big parts of the picture, he is absolutely right in saying that real freedom is absolute, providing it doesn't impinge on the personal freedoms of another. You don't get anywhere in politics unless the establishment is able to corrupt you, compromise your ideologies and control you. Someone like RP, who stands strong in his convictions will never be allowed in the front door.

The original issue was that Ron Paul associated himself with Prison Planet who then went batshit crazy with the interviews and plastered Ron Paul all over their web site. Believe it or not, I asked them not to.

Then came his stance on abortion - even though he would leave it to the states to decide, as it should be, he came out pro-life and turned off another 20% of potential voters.

He pulled a Ross Perot, even though he is exactly what we need, his honesty burned him down. And that's sad.

Even Ron Paul's candidacy in 2012 is subject to action, don't just say on youtube you want Paul to run, TELL him and tell others through polls, petitions, whatever. We have to pave the road for 2012 so more people open their ears and realize he is a valid candidate and not the nutjob the media portrays him as.
