@DillPo313 Good question ;-) Me, I cannot see it. I'll stick with a Compiz + Synapse + hidden Tint2 panel setup. I do however like 'Mint Menu' and can see how Cinnamon might appeal to those moving over from Windows. It like the way it aims to be purely a desktop interface, not a confused jack-of-all-trades, tablet/desktop hybrid, but gimme a keystroke based launcher and compiz scale any day... Sorry Cinnamon!
@falecomcyber Well, Mint is based on Ubuntu (excluding the Debian version)...so putting the Mint stuff on Ubuntu is a little redundant since Mint = Mint stuff + Ubuntu.
if you have Linux Mint 12 already installed, the latest Cinnamon is already available in the LM 12 repos. Just open up Synaptic, search for cinnamon and install. Once installed, log out, select Cinnamon from the desktop drop down menu next to the password field and log back in again.
It's obviously very early in it's development (can't add to or remove Favorites or the panels yet and other such things) but I like what it shows me so far.
@ne0pets22 easy go Download it from this link github.com/linuxmint/Cinnamon/issues 1. install mint12 2. install the cinnamon .deb 3. sudo apt-get install cinnamon-session
