Wow, I just realized that the ancient VHS recording I've been watching for years, is missing some parts. The bit where they're showing off their costumes, I've never seen before.

That said, I love all the characters in this! Searchlight Johnson is just epic with that monster flashlight and big bad see-gar.

Boy, does this bring back memories. I remember watching this. I was 8 years old in 1977, and this was part of the reason why I looked forward to the months of Oct-Dec (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) every year. All those televised holiday themed specials like this one.
