Thanks for the info! Here's what I'm doing for starters-- I have boycotted the big pharma industry by taking my health into my own hands. No vaccines, no pills (unless absolutely needed as in pain meds after surgery or antibiotics). I was diagnosed with hypertension which I knew was stress related. I started eating really well, exercising and managing my stress -- no more high blood pressure med! We can all start in a small way and hopefully it will make a difference.
you can find MANY therapies in the 'healing arts' which will deal with pain and address the need for antibiotics (i.e. GrapeFruit Seed Xtract, Colloidal Silver, Oregano Oil...etc, etc, etc.) where you NEVER have to invest in a synthetic system

Codex is behind schedule. But we're not out of the woods yet. John McCain's bill, the Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010 is up for vote in Congress very soon. It brings us into alignment with Codex by having a list of "positive nutrients", and anything not on that list is forbidden. Fluoride is on the list, Vitamin B isn't. They make no distinction between nutrients and toxins in the bill. They say they want to protect us. Then why aren't they doing something about the meds that kill people?

To my knowledge (and it's not something I follow too closely), only some places enforce it. The plan is to have it enforced all over the world basically. It would also make some rules for genetically modified food products (companies wouldn't have to label their products as GMOs). Seems to me IF you're gonna have a system of regulation, then one of the few things that would need to be required would be information, such as product labeling. That way customers can buy whichever they prefer.

it is coming 12/2009... protect Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA) in the meantime. DSHEA forces the FDA to regulate dietary supplements (including nutrients) as food, and not as drugs. this is good. but if you look close there will be increasing attacks on DSHEA - as it is what protects Americans from Codex. they can't fully HARMonize America with Codex while DSHEA exists.

Thanks for the info! Here's what I'm doing for starters-- I have boycotted the big pharma industry by taking my health into my own hands. No vaccines, no pills (unless absolutely needed as in pain meds after surgery or antibiotics). I was diagnosed with hypertension which I knew was stress related. I started eating really well, exercising and managing my stress -- no more high blood pressure med! We can all start in a small way and hopefully it will make a difference.

When Codex was first formed it was designed with good intention. Like a lot of other organizations they let their selves become corrupt. I think your right. The food industry and big pharma, are work hand in hand. The reason is two fold. One if big pharma, can out law high potency vitamins the can sell them to you at a higher cost then Monsanto,Cargill,or Sygenta can sell us depleted toxic food.
