  • 0:21 How many comedians does it take to put on a tool belt?

  • do they lived in the UK when the show was on air? or Clive, the host, move to the US to shoot the UK version?

  • @AALLJJNNDDRR This was filmed in the UK.

  • Ryan looks hot in that police hat.

  • @Tiffawesomeness yeah he does....

  • I love Tony, He's so funny and cute!

  • "who's in charge now!"

    "ME!!"

    lmao!!

  • Donuts- the ultimate crime-fighting weapon.

  • mee!!!

  • PFFFFFFT. Marvelous.

  • motherfuckin ad's...the had to ruin this too!!

  • ryan looks so young in this clip!

  • I like both versions. What makes the UK a little less unenjoyable is that Clive would buzz them right in the middle of a good joke, Drew did too, but usually when they made fun of him. And no one should argue that Drew tried to get cheap laughs because Clive did too. I loved Drew's laugh and I actually liked when Clive would crack up, but I wish he would've let loose more. And the Brits aren't dull they have different taste and the Americans aren't "dumb Yanks" either. We all just want 2 laugh.

  • 1:04 was just so epic. The way they stare at the camera after it went off when Ryan wore that hat.

  • DAMN! The camera sure as hell likes the way Ryan wears the cop hat. XD

  • holy hell that hat almost swallowed ryan's head when colin jammed it down on his head.

  • I never liked the english version, the host sounds like an unfunny asshole the english comedians are bland and the audience laugh's only at the most unfunny parts and hardly chuckled at the hilarious parts.

  • The one guy made a good criminal(acting wise i mean). I love the camera going off late too.

  • ryan and collin are the ONLY reason that this show has any funny moments at all, and honestly British humor is so boring, def not as good as the american version

  • this adiunce is boring

  • "Ahh nice fluffy donuts ahh take that ah ha!"

  • The camera flashes and all three of them stare at it, that was the funniest for me.

  • 0:01

  • I have watched alot of American and British comedy in my time and I can safely say that this improv variant is best suited by the American WLIIA. The British just doesn't cut it as they are more suitable for other styles of comedy.

  • @GiefGoldPlx mmyeah well i see the american version as a trimmed, tv show-short attention span version of their improv and the british one as more of an acting exercise, more experimental. i agree that the american one is more funny, but this one is interesting to watch too. as true improv and not something where they yell "cut, cut, cut" every scene. uh, probably.

  • American version is so much better.

  • I think this was like the lamest helping hands Ive ever seen

  • i love how colin throws the doughnut at tony LMAO

  • "Whose in charge now?" "I am!" "Damn." hahaha :)

  • Oh no! Not a donut!

  • The US version is way better.

  • Why are Ryan and Collin in the Uk version?

  • ryan + police hat = soooooooo sexxxxxxxxxyyyyyyyyyy

  • i love Ryans hair <3 <3 hes so cute and soo funny..LOVE HIM!!

  • The UK version is so boring uhhhh

  • mmm ryan looks good here ;)

  • us version is better

  • What's with the Clive haters? It's not like Drew is any better. Drew Carey isn't funny, and he tries too hard. So, Drew comes off as really annoying.

  • @Goutetsu13 Clive is boring and isn't funny. This is a comedy, it's funny. I think he is way funnier. Clive is just, not fit for it.

  • @RedKat999 You need to realize that there are different kinds of comedy. Clive has a more dry sense of humor, which fit better with a lot of the members on the show.

  • @Goutetsu13 Yeah it fit with the UK cast members. But it's your opinion and I respect that. I know there is more types of comedy, I just think that Drew is funnier.

  • Ryan Stiles looks so young! I love this! Thanks for putting it up!

  • ROFL

-"Now who's in charge mister cop!"

    -"Me"

    -"Damn"

  • doghnuts doghnuts he throghs it haha that was so funny

  • i always laugh when colin drags the hat over ryans face lol

  • I LOVE 2:09 when Colin tries to set down the coffee and it just spills all over the sides! Lol!

  • lol at the camera going off randomly.

  • UK's version really does suck.....

  • @HuskeyNinja

Well, don't judge the entire UK series on this one game. The UK version had a LOT of moments that really made me laugh, but they also had a lot of flops. Ryan and Colin were still honing their improv skills, but they were nearly masters at it by the time the US version came about.

  • coz im a cop,baby!

  • 1:00 to 1:05 :D

  • I laughed the hardest when Colin threw the donut at Tony and Ryan said, "Take that!" and grabbed the gun XD

  • Did they pick the most boring guy in the universe to host the UK version?

  • @marlesimms

Well, he DID used to be a lawyer...

  • "by thrusting colin's hands through ryan's armpits......?"

    i hate this english version/host

  • yeah when I found out it was first hosted by him, I would have probably never watched it

  • LOL just being technical there littel bit. hahahah

  • @tccballer

    This is the original WLIIA

  • @tccballer

    oh leave it alone

  • @tccballer I rather like Clive Anderson but I don't quite like him as a host for this show.

  • @tccballer LOL.

  • @tccballer What's wrong with that sentence?

  • i really like both versions of the show, but the american version just has better cast members. ryan and collin are great wherever they are, but wayne and whoever the fourth member is on most days are a lot better than their british counterparts. drew carey is an added bonus.

  • "Wayne and whoever the 4th member is on most days are better than their British counterparts????"

WHAT?! All those awful US 4th members like Kathy Greenwood ,Denny Seigel etc are automatically better than UK players like Tony Slattery, Josie Lawrence, Stephen Fry , Paul Merton, Steve Frost etc? How much of the Uk show have you actually seen?

Drew is no Clive either - especially his Godawful attempts at playing the games - ugh .

  • ok, maybe i shouldn't have said most. but i do believe that chip and greg more than make up for the others. and clive over drew? dear god, do you ever even watch the american version? clive is so dry, just like a lot of british humor. the only british show that i've seen that was better than its US counterpart was the office (ricky gervais is amazing).

  • Comment removed

  • actually, i respect the british version a lot. that doesn't mean i have to like it more than the US version though. i might have a bit of a bias because drew was the one that really pushed for the US version. so, you have your comedic preferences, i have mine. agree to disagree, maybe?

  • Fair enough. I actually enjoy the US Office equally as much as the Uk version.

    Peace :)

  • lol i would probably like it better too, but ricky gervais is just too funny. he absolutely makes that show great.

  • A lot of the 4th members were actually popular in the British games. Greg, Chip, Brad...They're all very talented. But honestely, I couldn't STAND Wayne. The audience didn't even laugh at his jokes, they'd only cheer.

Tony Slattery is hands down one of my favorite members of all time.

  • Greg, Chip and Brad were all great on the Uk WL shows and worked brilliantly with the British players.(especially Greg)

I just wish the US show had let some of their old comrades from UK WL play on the US show other than just Josie's 2 appearances.

  • Well...Wayne had alot of energy. I like him because of that. Audiences dont just need to laugh...they need to cheer too!

  • hahah i love how the camera suddenly flashes the moment ryan gets the hat over his eyes :D

  • i wish to see the photo

  • 'cuz I'm a cop baby!'

lol at the hat over his eyes! :P

  • "Who's in charge, Mr Cop?"

    "Me!"

ROFL! I like that part! Overall, this is a great Helping Hands game.

  • Their reactions when the camera flashes! hahaha XD

  • hahaha that picture must have been hilarious for them to look at later xD

Damn ryan was unbelievably skinny back in the day!! He still is, but even so!! He really should wear orange more often ;)

"Put your hands in the orange juice!!!"

  • i love how the camera just go's off

  • Ryan looks so hot in that shirt and police hat.. yummie!!

  • He does anyway:P

  • I agree!!! He is really handsome actually, and HOT!! :D

  • hehehe, i just got a good yummie idea, imagine him comming over to your house as a stripper... in a cop uniform. he'd be down to nuthin in seconds with me!! wooo!!

  • YES!!!

  • @NeedMoreWater I AGREEEEE!! ;)

  • @NeedMoreWater I actually find him very atractive......

  • I lov ethe UK Version ^_^

I also luve the US version.

Might have something to do with the fact I'm english, so i get english humor but we get so many US shows here i enjoy american humor too.

Or maybe i'm just weird, who knows. Either way: WL forever!!!

  • Wow, i have got to stop posting comments after a night out.

  • what are ryan and collin doing in the UK?

    0.o

  • Whose line was originally in the UK then moved over to America.

  • 'Now who's in charge mister cop?

    'Me!'

For some reason I found that part hilarious!

  • I hate this host. NOT funny. LAME. LAAAME. I reject it.

  • yes i hate the uk version of the show

  • in other words, you're a conservative

  • I'm always open for change, unless said change sucks.

  • in other words your a liberal lol

  • Ryan looked pretty gd in that hat.

  • hahaha oh man this game is always so messy!!

  • this whos line sucks. i like the US better. ryan and colin are the best in there

  • hmm, i dont like the crowd of the UK whose line, because of the few people laughing and the no noise all the way through it. i am from the UK and definately the US one is the best because everybody is cheerier.

  • young ryan is pretty sexy...<3

he could use larger pecs, but that shirt tightening over his chest looks mighty fine...<3

and colin has hair!!! who would've thought???

  • wow - ryan even more hat than he usually is in this vid!

  • i like drew carey better!

  • i like drew better than that posh guy

  • they realy don't pay much attention to the safty in this game, meannung they always give actual hot coffie so poor colin ends up scolding himself

  • haha i know its what makes it even more funnier

  • Who dressed Tony as Lupin the 3rd?

  • Ryan looks very...♥♥♥♥ in this video for some reason. lol. must be the cop hat lol.

  • Are they in UK??? And whose the host sitting at the desk???

  • Yes, this is UK Whose Line, back before it started in the US. And the host is Clive Anderson.

  • best uk helping hands to date.

  • Tony's reaction is priceless

  • hahaha gotta love the random camera going off at 1:04 when noone is touching it

  • nows who in charge mr cop......ME!!! lmao

  • ooh ryan ♥♥ the hat makes you look...

hot... or a guy in the YMCA dance??

    nahh.. HOT♥♥

  • I want to see that picture! Ryan looks good in that hat

  • Oh the Drew/Clive debate goes on.. I'm English so i don't know too much about Drew, but it seems he has the extrovert character which lends itself to this kind of show better. I don't have any doubts that Clive is smarter, and some of the lines he came out with were incredible. They would have been funnier if Drew delivered them, though.

  • ryan has 6 pack here

  • my god he does! O_o

  • HAWTxx♥♥

  • i cant believe the camera clicks by itself

  • ytgurlii

I'm not sure if those cameras have it, but they may have set it on a time delay by accident in their frenzied button-pushing.

  • he actually luks gud in that hat

  • "Let's pour this cup of REALLY HOT coffee."

    loll I love this vid~ <3

  • Who thinks that fangirls should unite for a petition forcing Ryan to wear that hat all the time?

  • *raises hand* MEMEMEMEME

  • "Cuz I'm a cop, baby!"

woo Ryan looks good in that police man hat :P

  • woot! wheres drew? is this a new show or sumit? and whos the lame dude taking drew place? xD

  • That 'lame dude taking drew's place' is the ORIGINAL Whose Line Is It Anyway presenter. Whose Line Is It Anyway started over in the UK over a decade before it was noticed in the US. Clive Anderson was and always will be the original and best Whose Line presenter. Drew is just a wannabe...

  • ...erm...I'm not sure about the best presenter exactly but he certainly is the original...rule brittania baby yeah!

  • Clive sucks

  • Clive was okay, but a little dry. Even if you like Clive better, Drew still brought way more to that table.

Really though, it wasn't until America that you hit the dream team with regularity; Ryan, Collin, Wayne and random person to mix things up so it doesn't get stale, and Drew as the announcer(and getting involved in some of the skits too) has always been able to consistently pull out "laugh til I cry" material.

  • Drew is way better than Clive

  • they both have their pro's and con's.

    They differ.

  • @joshieboy15 I know im responding to a 2 year old comment, but Drew was a much better host for one reason: He was actually funny. Clive was such a stick in the mud. Im not saying that the UK version was bad, but the US version was, in fact, superior. (Yes, "in fact." aka thats not my opinion, it really was superior - got more laughs, used a better and more consistent lineup of performers, and has far more fans.)

  • @Skope111 That's absolutely fine. You are entitled to your opinion. I do see what you mean.

  • @Skope111 I watch the US version and I like in the US and Drew isnt funny at all. I havent ever met a person who thought so either

  • @MajinWamu I'm not going to be able to change your mind, so I'll just have to respect your opinion.

  • @Skope111 1.this show was drastically changed by drew and NOT for the better(i.e. the addition of writers which as we all know makes it no longer improve) 2.the british are always dull 3.having the same 4 people do the same 10 things every episode is not improve and NOT funny 4.there are more people in america then england .....and finally the shit you've been spewing is not fact and IS your personal opinion

  • @sevendeadly69 Actually, I listed FACTS about the US version of whose line that made it superior, what you gave was an opinion based on a few facts that don't really support your case that much. And its spelled "improv" as in a shortened form of improvisation.

  • @Skope111 please explain your "FACTS" because as i have now wasted my time yet again rereading your comments and in no way do you do anymore then give your opinion. so you are a fool and if your only retort is to tell me how to spell then you have more then proven this to be true.as a matter of fact don't bother responding as i don't have anymore time to waste on an idiot like yourself

  • @sevendeadly69 nah.

  • @Skope111 The UK version was inferior because it wasn't funny or it was just being distinctively British?

  • @Skope111 Critics say the reason why the original version got cancelled because of Colin and Ryan regular appearances. The audience already used to the variation. The show received less laughter because the Brits are, as we all know, very reserved and British humour is very dry and witty, so exuberant response isn't needed in Britain. Clive's humour is also distinctively British. Why don't you just accept that it's a matter of taste?

  • @Daan892 I do accept that. I know full well that some people like the UK version better which is absolutely fine.

  • @Skope111 Then, Why did you say the US version was superior and that's a fact, not your opinion?

  • I love Ryan...

  • Ryan is just so Hot

  • ryan looks great in that police mens hat

  • i love how the camera went off out of no where
