Granted the whole song consists mainly of open notes, but i could care less about riff complexity, so long as the riff justifies its place in the composition, which it clearly does in this. I really enjoyed it
Really cool stuff man. Tell me what do you think? If I were to buy a set of strings for an 8 string, and just put the top six on my Jacks Randy Rhoads, would they be all flappy because of the smaller scale? I've put a set of 7 on quite a few times and they sound fine.
Hey really amazin stuff here bro! I checked your channel and it is amazing! How do you get such an awesome tone with podfarm?? Also, whenever you have time, check my channel for some home recorded metal too! Cheers!
Do you recommend this guitar? I'm planning on getting an 8 string and this one seems to be pretty decent. It'll be my first with passive pickups, will it sound OK with a Peavey 6505 combo amp?
How did you get the "buzzing" string effect? You can hear/see it especially in the first movie part and the whole song. I'm new to the guitar and this is awesome. Please tell me!
@TheNocturnal666 im not trying to slag you off man, iv heard some of your other tunes when you actually use the full length of the fretboard and its a million times better than this!!
@shakunkadunk Meh music isn't about technicality, it's about anything but technicality really, this is a powerful piece, not the most technical by any means, but powerful.
@shakunkadunk let me ask you, did you cure cancer or aids or received a nobel prize or achieved anything truly great for that matter? cuz you know your brain is capable of so much and you're barely using 10% of it... that goes hand in hand with what you said about full length of fretboard. The fact that he's not using all 192 notes here does not make it less amazing. It's about rhythm, ambiance and groove. Drewsif, this is one of my favorite djent albums to date.
@shakunkadunk Yeah, nah, writing a cohesive tune? Fuck that, it's all about how much you can use up the fretboard. That's the only way guitarists can have skill.
@ModVillain people need to stop with the hate, i clearly say that the only problem i have with this is that Drew is so much better than low end wankery! Granted i might have been a bit blunt on the first comment but chill your shit haha
This is nice n heavy and all that but maybe you should be looking for another guitarist to add some much lead work and depth. Not trying to be a dick btw. This is a good jam just feels like it should be a bit more progressive
Most Djent gets shit when you add vocals to it. This song is far better off without vocals as an instrumental. When you add vocals it just sounds like you're trying to recreate Meshuggah.
Instrumental Djent > Djent with vocals
The only band good at putting vocals over Djent is Meshuggah and they're also progressive and death influenced.
@TheNocturnal666 Do you ever get annoyed when people say 'Hey man, you should take out those 'x' band grooves, or whatever? Cos it annoys me, because you do much dirtier grooves than any other band you get compared to.
Granted the whole song consists mainly of open notes, but i could care less about riff complexity, so long as the riff justifies its place in the composition, which it clearly does in this. I really enjoyed it

Honest opinion, is an 8 string worth it? because you make it sound like the only reason you used your 8 is because you couldn't use your 7.
