i'm amazed at how much freedom of interaction she was allowed to have while seemingly on her own with the 2 guys. such a waste of a beautiful woman. so brave too because you know what she really wants to do is break down and tell her story. how the fcuk could Bush piss away resources invading Iraq for no good reason, when he could've been lauded as one of the best presidents in US history if it was the 20m tall bronze statue of Kim Il Sung that was torn down and not the one of Saddaam Hussein.

Nothing captures the tragedy of a dictatorship like the desperate friendliness of a beautiful woman. She's so pretty and full of life. The contrast with her sorroundings couldn't be more stark. So on one level its so sad.  But on another you see the beauty of the North Korean people, and how they will one day become a beautiful people again once they've gotten rid of those cockroaches in power.

Americans destroyed almost every building in North Korea during the war, by carpet bombings from the B-29's..(including ancient, historical buildings, monuments, castles...etc) It was all reconstructed after the war, mostly by Kim Il Sung.

Yeah that's true,.. but they did not see South Korea as a separate country.. they saw it as the same land who now had different masters.. namely the Americans. The Japanese were gone, but the new colonialists who were going to make the country in their own image are the Americans.. so they invaded.. i know.

What I like about Koreans in general.. is that they never really invaded other lands around them...

Yeah, and I believe Koreans also had the only emperor at one time that was given his position by his brothers, they agreed the younger one was more suited for the job. Which is unheard of anywhere else where siblings would usually kill each other for a king's position.

Kim Il Sung was a good ruler,...accomplished quite alot, Kim jong il, so / so.. but whoever comes next in line, will screw up everything.
