Leon Schlesinger (Producer Warner Bros.) appeared as himself in Freleng's 1940 short You Ought to Be in Pictures, one that combines live action with animation. In this short, Mel Blanc voices both Daffy Duck and Porky Pig, and all other voices are redubbed by Blanc too, including Schlesinger's. As with other Warner cartoon staffers, Schlesinger appeared in caricature form in such cartoons as Hollywood Steps Out, Russian Rhapsody and Nutty News.
That is not Mel Blanc in a studio security guard's uniform..that is one of the "Looney Tunes'"animators dressed as a guard..his voice was dubbed by Mel..Mel also did the voice of the "Termite Terrace's"animation supervisior..who yells"LUNCH!".
@Morahman7vnNo2 Yeah. It took me a while to find this. I finally found a colorized one after about a week of searching. As for the sound, i didn't really care. What pissed me off is that it lagged due to some stupid video error. It was much more smoother before.
not exactly porky was still the face of looney tunes but daffy was probably gonna fully surpass him and become the new face but sadly bugs quickly skyrocketed and thus became the new face
@TheSlickAndroid I always wanted Warner Bros. to focus more on Daffy. Daffy was a Looney character once, but thanks to Bugs' appearance, they just decided to slowly change Daffy's attitude, and making him lose his Looney form completely. Later on he became more stubborn, greedy and rude. Though as of today, hes mentally retarded as shown on The Looney Tunes Show. Though I'm happy that hes actually outsmarting the new Bugs.
@metalmadness00 I think its a good thing,since for a long while,Bugs was getting all the spotlight(or at least most of it). Don't get me wrong though, I think he's a great,hilarious character though(and a textbook case of what a cartoon characters is),but so are the others.
Did Turner Entertainment Co. colorized this B&W cartoon in 1995 while the characters are owned by Warner Bros. before the WB-Turner merger, did Turner aired that color version of this B&W toon on TNT or Cartoon Network?
@mattjnor98 Mel Blanc only did the voice; Michael Maltese played that security guard. The live footage was shot silent; Leon Schlesinger dubbed his voice in, and Mel did the others.

For those that blame Chuck Jones for making Daffy a greedy selfish sneaky egotistical duck. The proof is right here. It was Freleng.

@kingovharts Daffy is was still crazy, though, and won in about the other fifty cartoons he was in during the same decade.

the ironic thing this came out 2 month before bugs bunny arrived onto the scene and surpassed porky as star of the looney tunes
metalmadness00 9 months ago
@metalmadness00 whats even more ironic is that Daffy is more popular than Porky.

@metalmadness00 true,but I meant by today's standards.
also,it seems lately Warner Bros. has been using Daffy and other characters and giving them more focus than Bugs right now.

0:12 they were right, it's saids "Colorized Version © 1995 Warner Bros." but there's no Re-dubbed version credit to TBS, Inc. but still good.

@NYGSonline Turner only owns the pre 1948 Color WB cartoons and the B&W Harman and Ising Merrie Melodies shorts. This cartoon is owned by Warner.
