  • Love this song!

  • One of those ladies took 1. 15 to find the song, omg

  • I like the slower versions better. gives and ominous creepy feeling that I like

  • Muito Show!!!

  • This is the best carol of the bells I've ever listened. They sing SLOWLY as it has to be song. The others I listened, started singing slowly and then they run!!

  • Beautiful Ukrainian carol!

  • Love this carol. I first heard it about 20years ago in Paris sung by a childrens choir outside of a church on christmas eve. Wish i had a recording of that rendition.

  • better not so fast then to fast i think. To fast is so horrible. Good Job

  • needs to be faster. but great tenor and bass section.

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • Great job!

  • One time we sang this as fast as we could with it still being in tune and sounding good we did the whole song in 43 seconds lol

  • This is by far my favorite christmas song! Love it in home alone!

  • 1:10 love those dudes!

  • Great , Im Playing This song On My violin

  • they did great..may be they got different arrangement of this musical piece...<.< gee people don't be so close minded..Artist should not limit themselves to explore anyway...They did great on this one "slow motion style ^.^

  • They have amazing diction and blend holy crap. it sounds like one voice!!!

  • this is amazing, and yeah its slow but it shows how good they are, i bet many choirs couldnt stay at that pace and keep such a beautiful sound, and you can actually hear the crescendos and decrescendos

  • its not lively enough

  • I like it slower. I think This sounds great!

  • they are plain good. they sound so beautiful

  • Why so fast?!

  • @kowalskithepengui Its actually slower than the original composition.

  • Needs legato and less staccato

  • i like this carol with more of a sense of urgency.

  • Good, but Ukrainian version sounds better. Ukrainian is more melodic. ;)

  • Interesting, but It's too choppy for my taste.

  • Дуже незвично, але так захоплює!!!

  • It is too slow! this song should be sing more fast but without running!

  • cherry christmas this year!

  • It's beautiful; thank you 6Voices. :)

    MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

  • This is great! Very round tone, the speed doesnt make a difference at all. And the diction is great!

  • Although it sounds a lot better faster, they still hit all the notes well and it still sounded good.

  • beautiful.

  • I loved it. Yes, it was slower than usual, but it's much worse sung too fast like in so many vids! By being slower and softer they created a beautiful atmosphere and gave the carol a depth and warmth that is a true pleasure to heal

  • This song is better at its proper tempo, this is on the dime.

  • i don't want to to racist but i think performer are Asian so there speed is a bit different :)

  • ...a perfect blend, harmony, and, precision! Thank you.

  • Mykola Dmytrovych Leontovych (Ukrainian: Микола Дмитрович Леонтович) — Ukrainian composer, choral conductor, and teacher of international renown. Leontovych is recognized for composing Shchedryk (Shchedryk - from the Ukrainian word shchedryi; "bountiful") in 1916, known to the English speaking world as Carol of the Bells or as Ring Christmas Bells.

  • It's still difficult to make out the words, but not nearly as much as in every other version I've heard.

  • so precise, beautiful :) well done. I personally like it a bit slower. It stops everything from blurring into a mess.

  • I was ready to say that it was a little slow until I heard the detail once they got it open. It didn't sound like a hot soupy mess. I like it a lot.

  • This song sounds surprisingly really amazing with accents :)

  • Crotchet, quaver, quaver, crotchet, most choirs cut the last note of the bar short.

    The speed is right!

  • This is wonderful.. there's so much more feeling than the lightning-fast versions you usually get.

  • I think this is an AMAZING rendition. They dynamics and phrasing are SUPERB! I love it when conductors create music! (Take a bold and different approach to musical interpretation.) Bravo/Brava!!!!!

  • I think this choir sang this song great! I really like the pace of the song.. not too fast.. just right. Kudos!

  • I liked more slow....they transmit more feeling hehe

  • damn crafty asians

  • Mabagal masyado... Too slow...

  • This is beautiful! The sopranos have a beautiful and pure ring! Bravo!

  • Beautiful sound! They sound lovely, though it feels a bit slow, but at least it's not too fast! Good job

  • Wow they sound REALLY GOOD!

  • yea...its slow...but theyre hitting the notes perfectly instead of blasting thru it...

  • @Sinzless

    ITS CALLED

    crescendo and decresendo.

they are SUPPOSED to do that, its in the sheet music.

    gosh..

  • they have the perfect balance and a wonderful tone

  • even them being to slow for my taste doesnt stop me from saying this might be the best version on youtube.

  • Crotchet quaver quaver crotchet!

  • Ya, the tempo is to slow. Really good though!

  • The tempo is...off? Great vocals, but it so...tempo issues? A choir of this size could have belted out this carol. Interesting rendition.

  • @ianbr1193.. i reall think you should study analytical music cross-analysis more...

Its not about the way the song is originally sung, its about the rendition of the song! what's more, they're Chinese! cut them some slack dude!

  • Why that tempo? why so slow? I barely hear that "bum" at the last part supposedly.

  • Maybe they are a little bit slow but their intonation is nearly perfect. The best version of the song on youtube

  • If they're Chinese singing in English, perhaps they were going for perfect intonation.

  • even though the temp was slow.. the HARMONIES were perfect . GOOD JOB.

  • Dude, what's with all the negativity. When it comes to this specific song, some choirs make the mistake of singing it way to fast, and sound terrible. Maybe that's what they were trying to prevent from happening. There are barely any choirs who can get the right speed of this song. They are a bit slower, but they are still closer to the speed rather than the ones who do it painfully fast. I mean, come on, they sound crystal clear as well. Great job guys. :)

  • @PhantomH7 yup. crystal clear and not in their native tongue. hats off to this choir.

  • @PhantomH7 Every choir has its own version depending on its choir master..and i think that this version is quite different and good..and it suites the "carol of the bells" that was composed by leontovich ( if you really know the story behind the song "carol of the bells" and i tell you, it is a sad story..[just recently knew the story when we had our choir practice]).. Carol of the bells was composed during the Ukrainian war..

  • @carlsjoseph13 i think you're confusing the tso version who ripped off the original Ukrainian version and called it called xmas eve sarajevo. The original Ukrainian song is a joyfull well wishing carol, And there was no such thing as Ukrainian war. Look it up, you're already online , not that difficult.

  • @PhantomH7 I agree with you, some people do go too fast. But these guys are making it into a fineral dirge. They sound as though they are going to fall asleep while singing. They need to speed up quickly, or at elast draw out the sound so the staccato isn't taken too far.

  • @PhantomH7 watch?v=tUwUOt_os1o&feature=channel_video_title

  • Sounds very nice but I think it should go in a faster tempo.

  • The Conductor/Choir Master didn't follow the real tempo and dynamics it must be happy and lively! The tenors are not so powerful especially in the last part... i didn't hear their bass at the last part the bohm....

  • @ianbr1193 lol way to deconstruct the shit out of that song...I am sure these were artistic choices rather then ignorant ommisions.

lol look down your nose elswhere.

  • amazing but a little slow

  • I wish it was faster...

  • I hate this song slow

  • my god there so slow

  • Why is it so slow?

  • This is really good but I've never heard it this slow.

  • @ashleyayers2 I totally agree but it's refreshing to hear a choir not totally destroy the speed of my favorite christmas carol :)

  • mexican4269 you mean you love how *they're* Chinese, not their

  • thank you so much for correcting his grammar, no one gives a shit

  • i do

  • shutup

  • Прекрасно виконано твір відомого українського композитора Миколи Леонтовича "Щедрик". У 1921 Леонтовича було вбито москоськими більшовиками.

Beautifully written work of the famous Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovich "Schedrik. In 1921 Leontovich were killed by the Bolsheviks moskows.

  • i love how their chinese!!!!

  • lmao that made my day

  • they were really good they have good blend but i think its because they are going slow

  • because they sing it so slow, that's why the blending sounds spectacular.

i prefer the faster version thought, the staccato technique in this song doesn't sound right.

  • Very beautiful harmonies, and each part sang like a unit which is amazing. It was kind of nice to hear the slow version of this fast paced song. Dynamics and accents, I agree, which were perfect though again I agree with zuphini about the closing the "ng"s, which was something that the choir I was in focused on quite a bit when we performed this song for concert.

  • their tenors are blended so well it sounds like a single entity

  • Amazingly strong First Sopranos :] I've heard better. Still amazing, but should be faster.

  • It's so strange to hear the song we sing in Chinese : ) Great, you sing it very lively.

  • Their singing in English...

  • This is in english...

  • This is a really popular song. There are probably a lot of version in different languages. Do you have a link to the Chinese version of this song?

  • to slow this piece is supposed to be much faster still good though dont get me wrong

  • Well Done but i suggest sticking with the original idea of closing on the "ng"'s giving the dings and dongs the sound of the bells. Otherwise very well done in dynamics, character, and making it a good musical performance. Good Accenting too.

  • It's AWESOME ! Classic version of our Ukrainian carol!

  • Fantastic voices!
