I don't think he feels strongly about this, but at least he says the right thing. Probably, he just takes this position based on the obvious moral issue concerning the raids on the sick & dying, and of course also for what might help his popularity.

The first major study was in the Nixon administration. They found no harmful effects or something of the sort. I'm not an expert,... look it up. The administration back then, did not like the findings. So they rejected it...since then, we have been studying it endlessly. Why does Viagra make it to the market in less than a few years. Why not study that for 40 years or endlessly? I do use alcohol, nothing illegal. :) (just my opinion, keep it up for a while)

^^^ not long after that nixon era study their was a cnacer study that found THc actually shrinks and even destroys tumors... Again US gov orders it stopped ad all papers turned in-it was folund out a couple of years ago and the study was repeated and PROVED TRUE in spain. Ron Paul will y friend...he's the only candidate so far in the republican candidates that has not flip flopped on certain issues like they have been doing in these past debates. On top of everything else he's a man that has NOT changed his political views for the past 30 YEARS! If he's kept his word for that long imagine what he would do as president!

I would have preferred him to speak to the issue, in a different fashion, but it seems as if he would be for the Doctors Right to prescribe Marijuana.
