Every city in the world has its own "bad" areas. But that doesn't mean the whole city is like this. Glasgow has also good parts: it has way more pubs and night life than any comparable French city, Glaswegians are really nice and helpful with foreigners, the architecture is marvelous and it has the 4th oldest uni in the UK!
I must say I felt much safer in Glasgow than in Paris by night and people were definitely nicer!

Not from Glasgow but i shared a few flats in my 4 years their, one in Ibrox and one in Cessnock, never once had a bit of bother and my car although not flash never got broken into. Sure there are poor people and areas in Glasgow but i put that down to the Council which really is bad they seem to do nothing to help people out of poverty, sure Glasgow has its Benefit scroungers but there are also hard working decent ordinary folk who are trapped in what i call Ghettos, so dont tar them aswell.

@celticguy1888 This is the Glasgow i grew up in and remember with much fondness. It hasn't changed much since the 70's but has a lot of flyovers. I grew up in Roystonhill and loved it, i was also very happy growing up there! :)

Not from Glasgow but i shared a few flats in my 4 years their, one in Ibrox and one in Cessnock, never once had a bit of bother and my car although not flash never got broken into. Sure there are poor people and areas in Glasgow but i put that down to the Council which really is bad they seem to do nothing to help people out of poverty, sure Glasgow has its Benefit scroungers but there are also hard working decent ordinary folk who are trapped in what i call Ghettos, so dont tar them aswell.
