@nandu1f Datta Ram Naik was from Goa andwas an assistant music director to Shankar Jaikishan and consultant to many other MD's such as Roshan, Kalyanji Anandji, Laxmikant Pyarelal etc etc. He also composed music in about 20+ movies.
N. Dutta was Narayan Dutta and was a Marathi and used to assist S.D. Burman. Later he started to compose for himself and was very popular in the 1950's.
The sweet song suits Geeta Bali's sweetness. One more classic song from N Datta. I still don't know who was N. Datta, and used to mix up Dattaram with him. If I am not mistaken, Dattaram was assistant to Shankar and Jaikishen, and also later produced some excellent music. Can some one enlighten me about N. Datta?

It's Geeta Dutt singing, not Lata.

Lovely!!! Lata sounds really good here, but can't bring in the sensuousness Geeta would have brought to this song had she sung it.

i see what yumean...geeta had a unique quality in her style,
a a very beautiful....sort of sultery sweet element. as does asha. though lata always has a an innocence - even in her sensuality.
i do miss geeta's presence in bollywood. i love analyzing the sublte powerful factors of music. thanks for your input.
