Nursing mothers everywhere have nursed their babies at Denny''s in the past and will continue to do so in the future.
This is all much ado about nothing....except for self-aggrandizement.,,,a thinly veiled attempt to create controversy and cry harrassment where none exists.
"Nursing mothers everywhere" dont need self-serving martyrs claiming to speak on their behalf....You got your 15 seconds of fame...time to move on..
I'm open minded about mothers nursing their babies in public places. But this particular situation seems like it's more about the young woman wanting to draw attention to herself. The mgr reaches out to her, invites her nurse her baby at Denny's, and goes overboard to accomodate her.....and rather than saying thank you, she basically calls him a liar and continues to lead a protest to draw attention. It seems like she's looking for a fight and is determined to make a spectacle of herself.
i was there at the protest today. Crystal is an outspoken person and she doesn't back down easily. it may seem like she's trying to make a spectacle, but in fact she's standing up for nursing mothers everywhere. the manager did not apologize or accomodate. the bottom line is that Denny's has a policy that if a customer feels "offended" the management will attempt to remove the "offending" customer. but in the case of breast feeding, the law clearly protects nursing mothers.
