@OfficialChipwrecked Not in this demo. We do have a great video tutorial available about that topic. The title is: Animation Tutorials: Chapter 20 - Animation Sound. You need to go to the Video Tutorials page (under Resources) from Animate page on toonboom dot com
this is an amazing piece of software. I animate with it, for some reason when i do lip sync the sound isnt sync'd with the lips after exporting any idea why?
@luvpedobera Lip sync works when the mouth is built in one piece. You need to create all the mouth shapes in the library and assign the recommended shapes to your mouth shapes. If you decide to create the mouth in multiple parts, the automated lip sync won't work.
Oh wow. There are so many things in this version it's mind boggling. It looks complicated, but it looks like it makes animating a whole lot simpler. It's going to take me forever to figure all this out XD
@NextGenAsh For tv series production, the solution to us is Toon Boom Harmony. All Toon Boom products enable you to create anime style, it is important to know the scope of your project.
@ToonBoomAnimation Hey, I just got hired by a consulting firm and I have a question. I have been doing paper based animations like common craft, but am trying to move to the digital animated look; basic, explanation video stuff. For these types of animations would you recommend Toom Boom Animate or Toon Boom Animate Pro? What's the difference?
@annveal5353 The main differences between Animate and Animate Pro are: the availability of 50 special effects, of the compositing network and the ability to move the camera on 3 axes. Detailed information is available online in our site, in the Product Comparison page.
2 questions. Does Digital Pro have the lip-sync feature, too? AND - When I want to make a movie in DVD quality. Can Digital Pro help me by doing scenes with a cartoon creature in a real movie with real human actors? And - HOW?
@JesseDark101 Animate Pro has now replaced Digital Pro. Animate Pro has lip synch capabilities, delivers HD quality and enables you to mix live action with cartoon characters, a la Roger Rabbit. You need to import a sequence of images into Animate Pro and lay out your animation on top of it.
Hi, unfortunetly I bought a copy of Digital Pro. But I didn't take a look in the program so far. So - What features has Digital Pro? The lip-sync? HD quality? Live action and cartoon mixing?
HOLA AMIGO DE TOOM BOOM SOY DE PERU...Y este programa contiene tanto poder...q quisiera poder praticarlo ojla uds tambien hagan un tuto rial pero en español...para q asi mas personas podamos realizar animaciones mas facilmente...gracias...
I have a question about when creating a character. How do i make a bac side and front side of the character. Also i'm not sure how 2 save the character.
Check out their site often sometimes they have discounts. I take advantage of every discount they advertise. I hope by the time Christmas rolls around I can get Animate for much cheaper than the regular price.
I just bought Animate and it's barely working on my computer, it freezes up constantly and the reaction time is terrible it takes seconds just to select objects and it has crashed multiple times in the first hour of use!
I have TBS 4 and it works fine, I will be extremely disappointed if I can't resolve this. I'm pulling my hair out and my wallet isn't happy either. :(
Well, so should contact right away the support team from Toon Boom. It could be related to a configuration issue since the system requirement are different between Anmate and TBS.
It turns out I need a different video card ugh... but I'm glad to know I'll be able to use it!
The brush is better than photoshop or flash for cartooning honestly it feels so amazing to draw in. Strokes that would take me 3 tries to get right in Flash only take one try in Animate.
It is also TEN times easier to rig a character in animate than TBS 4 with all those ugly peg layers that you don't need in animate. I'm so glad you don't have to use pegs in animate.
oh what an idiot...it only says animate on the vid...lol....
yeah it does look pretty sweet...i'm using toon boom 4.5 right now...i'm having some problems right now with an animation, but I'm sure i'll pull through...check out my Mr.Hanky video...lol
With Lip Sync, you first import an audio file (wav, aiff, mp3), then the software detects automatically the phonemes. Finaly you attach your drawings (one per phoneme) and the software places the phoneme drawings in the right order over time.
This part is explained in the Chapter 11 of the Getting Started Guide of Animate.
You record your voice with anything, Garage Band, Audacity, and probably many more softwares. Toon Boom is not a voice recording software. There are some free ones for download online.
Hey. With the lipsyncing part, I cant map the mouth because there is no animation option at the top. Plz help!

Thank goodness I think I would have given up on purchasing Toonboom Animate if it weren't for the permanent price drop.

Depends of what you are doing ! Animate is dedicated to animation. It provides a superior feature set for this.
If you are looking for web site, games, or rich internet application creation, then Flash is a better choice.
