This is about mee, and my family..... Ashton ashton(sister) thats not Scott thats not scott (father). Yorke is my watcher... My personal limbic amnesia. It still freaks me out..... Brandon
at this very moment listening to this theres an old man beating down a wall opposite my house with a massive sledgehammer, kinda wanna go help and destroy it but cant really be bothered too.
I can listen to this album nearly all the way through. This is a must listen for die hard Radiohead fans like myself. They always seem to amaze us with each album. Each one has its gems and jewels. Each album is like another offering of food for the soul.
Can someone please explain to me how everyone love kid a, yet doesn't care about amnesiac even though basically, they're one album. I mean, kid a was gonna be a double album, and amnesiac would've been disc 2. So they're basically one album.
radiohead has changed my life there is nothing else to say except my life would not be the same without the influence of these guys my heart feels every break every breath of every song they truly are the greatest band doing the musical scene
@bumsquats my order of their albums from greatest to least: amnesiac, kid a, hail to the thief, OK computer, the king of limbs, in rainbows, the bends, and if you want to even count, pablo honey
@parasiticlittletick My order is: Kid A, Amnesiac, OK Computer, King of the Limbs and In Rainbows The rest(The Bends, Pablo Honey and HTTT) are very uneven. They include some weak tracks.
@TheAtheistHindu I think it should be ranked (greatest to least) In Rainbows, Hail To The Thief, The Bends, Amnesiac, OK Computer, Kid A, King of Limbs, and Pablo Honey last.
radiohead has a history of great opening tracks: Everything in its right Place, Airbag, Packt like Sardines, 15 Step, and Planet Telex just to name a few
I'm in the process of discovering radiohead. Don't know why I waited. Borrowed my dad's 'best of' cd, didn't give it back. I bought In Rainbows without even listening to it online first, because I felt like it - wise move. I might have to do the same with this one.
@Miker393 Wait. There's one hater in our midst since you posted this comment. No worries. I'll pack them in a tin box like a sardine and crush it with my big toe.
I just listened to the Radiohead Amnesiac and all I can say is HOLY SHIT where the hell have I been...I now know why others play their songs...fucking brilliant...omg... wow.... What I want to know is how the guy growls from the back of his throat in the "Packt Like Sardines in a Can"..... I mean seriously... it's gutterally animalistic...completely dug it...
crazy is what this fucking song is!! the entire amnesiac album was unrated but brillant..its probably one of their best works & most of their albums are pretty amazin.
i wish i could go back in time and listen to radiohead for the first time again....to feel blown away for the first time. it was so awesome. i've never felt this way with any other band, really.
@MogartheCurly This is a good choice of album for you to start with. Most do not start with this album. Some find it not accessible. I find it highly accessible. I started with OK COMPUTER went back to Pablo Honey. Then went forward in the bands catalogue. Radiohead seem to change their sound with each album. They never try to out do themselves. That is the best way to go about it. I do the same thing with my song and novel writing.
@MogartheCurly buy "in rainbows" and "the king of limbs"...stream or download "pablo honey" "the bends" "ok computer" "kid a" "amnesiac" and "hail to the thief"...though the emi re-releases are cool...radiohead isnt..if any...getting much of the profits..."in rainbows" and "the king of limbs" belong exclusively to Radiohead...so to show true artist support...buy those albums :)
I know, the comment came from a discussion where people were comparing the opening songs off of different RH albums to each other. Weird to see it get so many thumbs up on an Amnesiac song vid.
have to say it comes close second to 2+2=5. I just love this one because it is so calming and meditating and relaxing while still being interesting and having a couple fun quirks. but i stil have to go with 2+2=5 being the best album opener because it just had such a unique and intense projection of an almost sarcastic parody of the way the world seems. at least thats how i would describe it. But hey, all Radiohead songs just plain rule.

Kid A
OK Computer
In Rainbows
Amnesiac
The Bends
Hail to the Thief
The King of Limbs
Pablo Honey
The bends is a masterpiece, but amnesiac is just insanity.
