This is a good start :). You can generally play the piece. I think we can put down the split notes etc. to nerves, and being able to control that comes with experience. The biggest thing you need to look at with this is adding a bit more shape. Use the staccato markings and the accents. There wasn't a great deal of this in this performance. Keep going :). No matter what other people in this post have said - I am a firm believer in pushing yourself individually :)
sorry darling, far too fast, tone not there, wrong notes, no musicality, you haven't got the range on the euph and whoever encouraged you to play this in public should be sacked, you are not ready for this level of solo. i know it takes guts to play a solo but you looked as if you wanted to be anywhere but on stage. sorry for the negative comments but go back to basics. long notes, breathing and don't run before you can walk.
@darryl153 u could at least give constructive criticism. u just sound like a douche. its almost like ur telling her to give up playing because she sucks which is not true.

Honestly, you are not on the level to play this piece. Work on other pieces on your level like the Gordon Jacob Fantasia before working on this piece. Thank You
I agree with the standing comment to help with breath support. You look incredibly bored and the piece sounds just as boring as you look. Put more expression into it and carry out your phrases. Dynamic CONTRAST!!! You are accurate on pitches; however, you are not very musical in producing your notes, tone quality is another issue. I hope my suggestions help you in your study of the Euphonium.
Very nice. Work on long tones maybe for improved sound and air capacity? Also, you may want to consider performing standing up, it may open you up a bit. What type of euphonium do you have?
1st, you pick wrong solo literature for your age. 2nd, tons problems of inhalation and exhalation. Tempo, rhythm intonation were not well-controlled.Briefly, work on your fundamental instead of playing this kind of "big" music. I believe your instructor has big problem of pedagogy.
I know this comment was a little mean especially the last sentence but it's still constructive criticism that I would very much appreciate if I were the one to receive such comment. Thus, I don't get why people have to give him/her thumbs down for trying to help.
