Hey I really appreciated this video, the lead synth you were "jerking off" with was excellent. I am a little curious as to how you set everything up in ableton to get it to fast record like that, easy set up of loops and such. I have a kaosillator and a piano that i would like to be able to quick loop both simultaniously. Do you have any insight on how i could do that? Any feedback would be excellent man and keep "jerking off" that was awesome :)
Marc, I've watched this video over and over at least 20 times now. It's so inspirational!
I had a huge request for you. May I have the permission of using your music in my Youtube videos? I am a technology reviewer (view my channel) and I believe your music would fly in my videos during the intro, transitions and ending.
Please let me know and especially let me know how and where I can get MP3 versions? Thanks Marc!
Interesting. Now do all the record arming/cueing/triggering, and also build other "base" loops to build up from creating different song "sections" and be able to switch between those built sections and do all but the actual instrument playing from a midi footswitch. That's what I'd like to do & what live should be capable of doing.
the only thing i don't understand why a loop button on my ableton live don't woks. can someone tell me what exactly i need to do, to make a single loop, please
They Keyboard is a run of the mill microsoft keyboard i picked up at staples for 20 bucks. I then popped the keys of and spay painted them to fit my template. Funny story: I had to buy 2 of these keyboards because the first time I put the spray painted keys in the oven to help them dry/cure and they melted! big duh.
hey how do you deal with your recordings starting too early for the loop? I have always had that problem. Also, stopping a loop when you want to play until the note...
I was thinking about a foot pedal, but i don't have the moneyz.

Marc, do you provide private instruction for using Ableton Live? I am having a hard time getting my head around it when using it in a similar manner.

what rhodes plug in/vst do you use?
sounds sweet!
sabotage1111 1 year ago
@sabotage1111 :
thanks for the kind word mate.
It's a rhodes sound from the VSTi "Hypersonic" by Steinberg/Wizoo. The plugin is decent while also having low cpu/disk overhead.

consult the manufacturers documentation. It will be very clearly outlined in both the documentation for the keyboard and the programs you have....
