I understand those wishing to defend their hero but he could have come back on if he'd wanted to. Morrissey has a long tradition of cancelling things or changing his mind at the last minute but his diva-esque behaviour has gone too far for me. Surely he can remember how it feels to one's money on a gig ticket, to spend all day (or longer) getting to the venue by coach or train and then queueing in the freezing cold to gain admission.

I remember a similar thing happening at an Idlewild concert i went to a few years back. They walked out on stage, a bottle was thrown, luckily none of the band saw it, but why buy tickets for a band you like and then abuse them?! I hope the scouser got a good beating for this lol!

I love Morrissey to bits but if he had gone off and given himself 5mins to calm down and for security to remove the dickhead then he could have got back onstage and done the rest of the gig for all of the genuine fans who came to see him - I think he reacted in the heat of the moment and should have just waited a bit and got back on stage.

Stuff like this happens but the performer has to remember that there are a lot of genuine fans there who had spent money time and effort to see them.

...i'm not from Liverpool, i travelled for 2 hours to see him, There where fans from Manchester and Preston too.Unbelievably, some fans had come from Wales and some flying in from Ireland and the Isle of mann to see him.....and he fucked off stage and left them with a long, long upsetting journey home.
