You can't record music to it, you plug it into an ipod or music player's headphone jack with the included cord.Turn the music player or ipod on and play music with the idog on and he plays and dances to it.:)

Seriously, all that and Idog is dance to music! Is it really that much fun to watch a robot dance? I would rather spend the money on something that can keep you occupied. I could only watch and Ipod for a few minutes and then get bored. What about buying other things like a Dvd or even something that gets you active ( like grip ball or baseball or something). Or you could use the money to go to your favourite bands concert. But thats just my opinion.
