Anyway, cops asked people to leave so the cleaning crews could come in and do their job and clean up after the festival and some drunk idiots refused to leave and made a scene. It was a free concert paid for by local businesses and if this happens again next year you can bet that it will be the last year they do it and that's a shame because it's such a great event.

I am a high school senior... and it almost seems like the maturity level of some college students goes downwards entering college. The fact that they are old enough to drink and they are not mature enough to handle it responsibly. I was surprised, with all the CSU students around me at the Earth, Wind, and Fire concert, I was more mature than most of the college students there. On top of that, when CSU students come back to town for college, they honk at me, and there is worse driving in FC.

Disorderly conduct at best for 80 percent of the 400 or so that were there. 1 tent was burned for whatever reason and 1 store window was broken unintentionally by a couple of drunks wrestling with each other. I know that there were riots here at least 2 of the first three years I lived here. I moved here in 2004. I do agree though, it is very embarrassing. Also what was embarrassing is how the city ruined New West Fest by putting the main attractions in such a shitty location. I hope they learned their lesson. What the fuck were they thinking? I grew up in Fort Collins in the 60's, 70's I worked with the police in the 80's and saw the college days riot of the 80's that nearly destroyed two blocks, and punks tried to burn down people's homes, and I left Fort Collins in the late 80's for those reasons seen in this video, like many it makes me sick to see this happen to a once nice town.
