In my opinion L4D2 ruined the game

No bunnies (even though I don't use it unless speed runs)

Ragdoll physics went really stupid. (hunter would be in mid air dies and instead of his dead body flying away it kinda says "OP IM DEAD" and falls straight down like gravity intensified)

Surg, just wondering about the sensitivity you prefer playing with, is it high, medium or low range? I find that I'm having a hard time with my accuracy in L4D2, despite having the same mouse sensitivity as L4D.

try using this launch commands... your mouse could feel different due to smoothing or some forced acceleration from the l4d2 engine.

-nojoy -console -novid -noforcemspd -noforcemparms -noforcemaccel

make sure you don't have mouse smoothing on (unless ofcourse that is what you are comfortable with... i prefer any smoothing off... neagitevly affects twitch)

you can do hidehud 4 to remove the hud... but the +1's still show up.. its wierd... also.. i use adobe premiere pro, i fraps at 1600x900 than render it 1920x1080 o__O

how worthwhile is it to practice charger skeeting? I know there are choke points like your basball bat *droolz*, but is it something worth practicing in detail (considering hitbox registry,etc)

I've practiced it extensively and still haven't mastered it. Best bet is to learn how to juke them and melee them as they go by. (30 tick servers + latency = inconsistency :[ )

Out of interest, what are your thoughts on 'saving' certain specials. This would normally be perhaps on Dead Center 1 saving the charger and smoker from the first attack to go for the insta-kills. Is it worth it?

kills > dmg. So ya, in alot of cases we will save spawns ... for example... roller coaster... if we dont have the spawns we want... we'll try to slow them down and get teh spawns we want

I came with another question. The director often spawns a few T1 weapons around the middle of some maps, usually after you have grabbed an autoshottie or assault rifle. If you are running dangerously low on ammo, is it worth getting one to keep you from being stuck with a secondary, or is it better to tough it out until the next restock spot or find another T2 weapon. I personally wouldn't take one but I just wanted to know if anyone disagreed.

Hey surg, Im trying to get into competitions and stuff like that, do u have any good ideas on where to start looking to be recruited into a decent team? Since i dont have any clues on where to search for it Some comunity forums or so would be nice, in the european scene. Im looking at l4dnao atm.

Even if its just to be the 4th wheel on someones team for practice when someone is missing. I wanna learn stuff and improve my game level.

Most good teams arent recruting. the only good team with an opening that I personally know of is blight but im not sure if blackbelt is even going to keep the team together he being the only one left. along with this he has incredibly high standards so good luck if you want a shot at that.

I agree with u to some point, individual skill increase to some point with practice, some bad players stay bad no matter how much they play the game, some become great. But as a team i think practice always improves their teamwork making their gaming more fluent. They learn each other habits, the likes and dislikes from others adjusting their game to fit those things, therefore improving their performance as a team, they get to know by heart the strat they are going to use and stuff like that :)

also i love the new smg's in this too. i switched so i could use an smg in this one. since skeeting isnt as large a factor here as it used to be i can comfortably use the smg without being put back but the HEADSHOT OR NO KILL that was in place in l4d1.

Well the fact that i couldnt hear any of the witches over the constant random hordes and boomer hordes probably didnt help. Oh and i fixed my load screens. i had a bunk image driver that was slowing my whole pc down tremendously. fah_core or something rather either way its gone and i load within 10sec like i should.

I have respect for people who put this much effort into games to provide the community with information and also to become the best basically in the game competitively. I don't like the way you approach the game though, you know too much about the mechanics of the game and I think it would ruin the experience for me because once you know how to manipulate and play with the game, it gets less fun. But that's just me, rant over....:p
