By all accounts from other interviews and clips, Phil was/is the "nicest" and most friendly (esp to the new keyboard players) guy in the band.

It would be so cool to chill with Phil for a day. Even cooler IMO to chill with Jerry of course but that's not possible.

It still amazes me how humble of a guy Jerry was in spite of his devoted following. Maybe it's just a given that he was at least as nice as anyone in the band so no one mentions him as the nicest. He was the coolest cat around :)

Jerry was trying to clean up at this time, was indeed sober. More of this interview he describes a recipe for virgin planters punch and talks about learning to have fun without intoxicating.
