oh my gosh "Harry and the hendersons"--i haven't seen that in years! i always knew he did silverado (one of my faves for sure), but wow, didn't know about the rest. most of these movies i haven't seen in forever--i need some serious renting in the future.
My particular favourite is his score for the Disneyland theme park film, "From Time to Time." After hours of queuing with the kids and all the indignities the theme park could throw at us, the marriage of the film and Broughton's soaring score reduced me to tears of joy. And I went back again and braved the embarrassment (I had to cry the second time too). Brilliant!
Ah, Bruce Broughton was one of those composers that wrote most of your favorite themes, but you didn't know his name.
Great video, dude. Broughton's one of my favorites. And he's not just more fit, he's also more creative and light years more gifted than those hacks that call themselves composers from Remote Control.
He composed full scores for the attractions; The Timekeeper, The Making Of Me, Honey I shrunk The Audience, Canada(2007), Spaceship Earth(2007), From Time To Time(Le Visionarium), Ellen's Energy Adventure, Golden Dreams, Season Of the Vine, Cinemagique, One Man's Dream, Mickey's Audition, etc.
Transformers and The Dark Knight I doubt could have been made more fitting for their respective titles, but I have no doubt that Mr. Broughton would've lifted Iron Man's score to much greater heights.
Hmm, I can imagine he wrote those for the Disney theme parks. The website of SoundofMagic lists the 'Silverado' theme amongst the ones heard in Frontierland... but could you elaborate on the other scores he's been commissioned for? Thanks !
Nice, you included that wonderful western-hero theme from "stay tuned", perhaps when ye feature another compilation by Bruce, ye could include his work for the computer game "The Heart of Darkness" (Even the main theme from "Ice Pirates", which is an underestimated roller coaster-like score)
What´s the name of the song from Betsy´s Wedding? Nice video, thanks!!

Bruce Broughton is one of the greatest film composers ever. I have everything he's done that's been put on cd.
He truly has a gift, I wonder if HE knows it? I wonder if he knows how much we LOVE his music?!
