how did you draw the eyes i never get the eyes of an animal right

@jawn1234561 Well, make sure you draw from photo references or from life when you first start working with eyes. Every animal has a different kind of eye so you'll have to study the differences to really nail the one you're trying to imitate. In this picture, I drew the eyebrow first, then outlined the shape of the eye. Next, I drew the iris, then shaded in the pupil leaving a reflective white spot and finished shading around the inner and outer parts of the eye.

That's very very exelent. I wish i could have good drawing skills like that. @allieisarandomer Yeah, this was actually a drawing of my original sabertooth character, Tyraike, and he has longer ears than regular sabertooths. I just didn't say it was him, because it wasn't that big of a deal and he's not one of my well-known characters.

Whatever you want to draw, study it. Draw from photos, draw from life, and just keep practicing. It's pretty much a guarantee that you'll improve. In fact, I need to keep working and studying from photos, which I've been trying to do more often.

@hyperwires Yeah, I find that as I look at my drawings and notice stuff wrong with them I gradually improve. You have to "climb up the ladder" of art. Nice drawing by the way.

2) i like to draw too,and many ppl told me that im pretty good but they also told me that im holding my pencil wierdly when im drawin or writing...and i noticed that ur holding the pencil exactly like i do!!!!!!!!!

excuse me, but i am try to draw a lot of animals for the mustang stampede (at my school we have a big party when it's close to ending) and i was wondering how you shade

@ITSchiheroWAZZUP I vary the pressure of the pencil and use layers to shade. By pressing harder, I can make the edges darker, and as I shade, I gradually lighten the pressure until the pencil doesn't make any more makrs...I keep going over certain spots to make the shading even darker and increase the contrast.

It reminds of heraldry, which is a compliment. If you look around you may find Pentel 4B lead for 0.5 pencils. Very dark and rich, it does a nice tab of handling the bottom end. I don't encounter it often, yet it's definately worth looking into.

Probably...I didn't use a reference so I think the teeth should be longer, the tail longer, the neck not so big and scruffy, and the rest of the anatomy is probably off...I just tried to draw how it looked cool to me. :)

I saw an awesome picture drawn by Lauren Makena and then later drew this from memory. Her image was only the front-end of the cat (the head and front legs.) From my imagination I added my own features and drew the entire back-end from my head. I didn't use any references, so it's not an accurate smilodon or sabre-tooothed cat.
