  • WHY ARE WOLVES EXTINCT!!!!!

    THEY'RE INTELLIGENT AND VERY ADAPTABLE!!!!!!

  • You got him for free... if you still want him;)

  • Lost a key...already:-)

  • Our future...

  • That grub with the round moving mouth parts.. ughhh, it really disgusts me for some reason. :P

  • SCIENCE is about facts.

and so much of the things we see in shows about animals from the past, and FUTURE, are just SPECULATION. only shows that i would believe are the ones about animals in modern times, at least that stuff can be proven. one show said T-rex had venomous saliva full of bacteria so a bite was fatal, i was like "evidence please".

  • I thought Earth was only 6000 yrs old and God created us with the Dinos and all the other stuff.I know some Religious Organizations like the Catholic keep lying to the most Gullible members of their groups whom of course believe it and spreading misinformation!!

  • @jozsefkacsa Derp for believing them eh?

  • @jozsefkacsa Uh the Catholic church accepts Evolution and encourages religion to remain separate from science, so IDK what your stupid ass is talking about.

  • @Walnut444ify My God man before u calling ppl names look up all the comments I was just joking with that guy was saying that Dinos and Mammals were living together 25 thousand yrs ego That's why my"Stupid ass"said that Cheers and God Bless u!!!

  • real inventive names xD

  • 16:15 Mammals have really went down hill.

  • Maybe

  • Wouldn't toratons go extinct if they are so easily killed?

  • Love the toraton :P

  • When turtles become badasses....

  • flish

  • I heard the phrase "The series begins in 5 million years" and thought... Thats a hell of a wait for the next episode :p

  • i like it

  • what happen to human?

  • @long9kim we went extinct ;o

  • those squid at the end were kinda weird. lol

  • I remember seeing this program on tv a few years ago. it was muted and I thought these were actual prehistoric creatures... freaked me out

  • it's a common misconception that cockroaches can outlive anything, but the truth is that cockroaches need heat to thrive, in the western world, cockroaches only live on because of central heating, without it they would still be in Africa and Orient because they wouldn't last without it, Even the American Cockroach came from Africa.

  • 11:55 and 15:50 are EPIC ^^

  • stop making hateful comments, whe all know these are all theories and there is NO WAY of knowing anything for the future. So shut the fuck up and enjoy the world of imagitnation u boring bastards....

  • all this has got me thinking.. as the earth goes through cycles. maybe what we think was the begging was actually the end of an even bigger cycle.. what if all life is from earth? what if aliens are the population of an extinct earth.

  • I saw this when it first aired around 10 years ago. Now I have the DVDs. Biological evolution is fascinating.

  • Marine animal will take over the land in the next 200 million years...

  • @x3iDREAM Hey its happened before.

  • i miss this show i cant find it in my 600 chanel's tv

  • The Ice Age idea seems likely. Since Earth is acting in a pattern. It went from a warm climate(Dinosaurs) to and Ice Age(Mammoths) and now the world is heating up again.

  • @westin318 Earth is in its what third ice age now I believe. Earth goes through cycles all the time. Ice Ages happen a lot, due that if theres a land mass (Antarctica) on the poles would cause a ice age.

  • @Kotoszayel Well with all of the "Global Warming" stuff I think we're heading upwards in temperatures but we're almost at the top and ready to head back down.

  • @westin318 With the Global Warming that is happening right now it does have a chance to start another glacial episode where the atlantic sea current will shut down and the glaciers will come back. They say that if we continue, within this 1000 years, the glaciers will start rolling down. Also, Global Warming is real, don't let retards tell you different.

  • looks like someone forgot to tell the earth about that christian rapture story crap

  • What is this, I don't even..

  • this is called bullshit

  • the director of this show had some fetish with octopuses or something.

  • @u3190

Cephalopods are extremely intelligent animals, it is very likely they would be able adapt to these scenarios. However, I think the giant squid is a big of leap. They didn't show any feasible prey for the organism. Which despite its inherent brachiothermic nature would require a vast amount of ATP, and thus the molecules to synthesize it.

  • No don't kill off the mammals

  • flish?

  • ok now guys wtf ? why u shud put in monkeys and a terorbirds who lived before us like 100milion years and now put them in agin? its retarded >:]

  • i guess no one told Bruce Tiffnay that Movember is already over

  • @Utoobepooper A moustache was the one thing he didn't have.

  • 4:58 WHY, oh why, does the Philippines have to be DESTROYED?????

  • Primate squid? Whooaaah!!!

  • @inthetearoom I know right? This is ridiculous! I have not seen many instances where the world's history has repeated exactly anyway! Very unlikely...

  • @Dude2525252525252525 You obviously don't know your fossil record. If you look at the geology of the planet, you'll find that the world's undergone several ice ages, and at least two hothouse climates before now. These spurned the extinctions in the Cambrian through Silurian periods, the rise of giant bugs in the Carboniferous, and the Jurassic period...

What I don't disagree on is the death of so many mammals...besides that, they're as accurate as science allows.

  • Pokemon, you say?

I swear to God, I first saw this show when I was around 3rd grade or something--and I made a custom Pokemon card for the "Flish" and some others! It was actually pretty good for a 9-year-old or whatever. Ah, nostalgia!

Glad I was able to find this. It's purely speculative of course, but these types of TV specials (along with the Kratt Bros) fostered my love for biology such that I am going to be a genetics major at uni next year. Love it!

  • This shit is silly- most of the dynamics make no sense.

  • This shit is silly- most of the dynamics make no sense.

  • wish my history teacher would teach us this.......

  • Who pays you guys?? Send some dough my way n i can up with some better malarky!

  • @emperorvl You should work on your English first.

  • Meanwhile, cockroaches and sharks stay the same...

  • @elmohead why not, they did for hundreds of milionns of years before, why not hundred millions of years in the future?

  • @elmohead Guess they have the perfect design. :)

  • @elmohead Cockroaches don't need to evolve

  • @elmohead cockroaches yeah but sharks... they will be extinguished! Do you know how many sharks mankind kills every day?! several THOUSANDS

  • I like prehistory I guess.

  • @dinoloverist This is Pro-History ;D

  • I would love dinosaurs

    to be futuristic animals.

  • lol I want to be the scientist that gets to make up the future!

  • LOL, omg, professor Bruce tiffany made this entire vid worth watching. That's an AWESOME beard. =P

  • Sorry, just one more thing: I love this show and "Life After People" so much

  • I hope the squids take over. Maybe they won't force anyone to watch crappy commercials before viewing a video on Youtube >:(

  • @aeonsomnia

Nah, just 2-3 mins of a completely black screen of their ink =o

  • @aeonsomnia LOL

  • i get the feeling that terror birds hav made a come back

  • Hey ProjectPontragolia if your goin with a series i'd suggest the studying life idea. If you want just one book do the following a lost animal, if you want advice look me up

  • You do know that Nicholas Hooper scored this, right?

  • what happened to poodles?

  • "people have been wiped out by massive climatic and geological changes, nearly destroying the Earth."

Um, no. People we're wiped out. The show indicated that people left the Earth.

  • *People weren't wiped out.

  • I need advice. This is very important research for me. I have an idea for a book, or a series of books, based around at least one alien planet. However, I can't decide on a plot. I have two main ideas, one about a creature lost from it's pack in a forest it has never been in, and the second, about a mission, far in the future, to study the life on this planet, nd bring back specimens. For more detail, massage me, and PLEASE tell me which story you would prefer to read.

  • its the one-legged helmet monster!

  • 100million years from now my dick is crawling!

  • 14:23 Derp!

  • this is from that cartoon the future is wild

  • Why do people call this bullshit when the scientists are only making guesses?

  • So the earth in the future will be ruled by giant tortoises,awesome...

  • The Sea Salt flats from Final Fantasy VIII

    This show is awesome! :D

  • if you think there a small chance humans can evolve again from the monkeys maybe.........

  • This is all Bullshit

  • @huggy1981 Because? Don't tell me you're one of those Religious Fanatics..................

  • i don't get how this show got on air, i mean anybody can guess what animals are gonna be like in millions of years time, most of these ones look like fucking Pokemon!

  • @cyborgsatan you sir, are an imbecile.

  • I want a pet Karrakiller :"D

  • E-voultion! it works!

  • Hey! @ 10:39, it looks just like where i live today! Haha! =D

  • and den dee aliens will come down and go, WTF? This is nothing like home! Where is the Wata? Dis concept reminds me of Alien Planet. ---------> over here

    Watch it!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @blaxicat2005 yeah, if you liked alien planet and the future is wild, go try extraterrestrial, its the main vid on my channel but its by national geographic.

  • @blaxicat2005 or alien faces from 'the universe'.

  • what made dee poor gannets get fat? D'=

  • ok at the worl ''Flish'' I started LOL ing xD

  • Ah, Ah, Life, Ah, Ah, Ah, finds a way!

  • @Pazma1

Life ALWAYS finds a way to survive ! that's a Godsend ability !

  • hey the man that has a beard looks like them the monkey that got killed

  • @blackparade231

A beard is a symbol of wiseness all over the world, but that's only a symbol ! (though there are ill people that bear furry beards) !

  • but what about humans

  • @GoldenSwordReviews

Mankind is not eternal ! Perharps our duty is to bear and implant life on the Universe, whereever wa can !

  • LOL..the whale with beaks is cute they look like my granpa!!

  • this reminds me of another great program about an alien planet, anyone remember what it was called?

  • @thebooshnut Alien Planet : Darwin IV

  • @asvk1989 haha i remembered the second after i posted the comment but couldnt be arsed to delete it! thanks anyway :)

  • @thebooshnut haha no problem =)

  • 14 people got bit by a Swampus

  • 14 people were an animal in 14:45

  • I love this program one of the best ive seen ever

  • i want a CD with the entire soundtrack :P

  • the animals are cool but the names are terrible

  • @Woohagen1 I like the names and the animals except for the creapy silver spider and poggle

  • @DominionChris plus the other thing i hate about silver spiders is the fact that they have a queen...

  • big cats! the bears! wolves! WHY!!!

  • Oh the nostalgia! I've gotta get this on dvd or something. I remember watching this over and over when i was younger.

  • i hate how he says evolution

  • @65waddy lol dad was just saying that, he sounds pompus.

  • Omg! I'm so happy this is on youtube now! I watched it years ago when I was a kid and when the Discovery Channel (or History, whichever it was on) actually had awesome programming. I've been searching for it and I'm so glad I can watch it again. :)

  • @rocknroll015 Sadly, this is a crappy, short version of the original. The original had MUCH more detail about certain creatures, like the Swampus, and those spiders, and there was some kind of storyline where the humans had moved to a different planet and were watching the whole of the Earth changing with a satellite in orbit. I want THAT version, not this slapped togther for youtube crap.

  • @KaptainSparta Yeah, I noticed that after watching. I hope they get it on netflix, they only have the "save" option there... Oh, well... it was a nice little piece of nostalgia anyway.

  • @KaptainSparta Same here dude. i searched for the discovery channel version everywhere on the internet but couldn't find it anywhere. i don't like this version either. the whole idea of humans migrating out of solar system to colonize the galaxy and sending back space probes every few million years to find out how life on earth has evolved in their absence sounded a lot more cooler and fascinating than this. it even had better narrator, script and music.

  • lol flish

  • I miss this series SO much! If it weren't for this show, I would have never fully understood how evolution is adaptive...

  • They all are fucken retards get a life u crackheads

  • lol lets stick a beak n wings on a fish

what can we call this flying fish tho?

    . . .flish!

  • I'm a scientist. I got my degree through the mail from Univ of Pheonix. I also wear glasses and have a gnarly beard.

Anyway, my professional opinion is that squirrels will take over, develop their own civilization.

  • thumbs up if you think the desert hopper (snail) is awesome!

  • So we're in the 10,000 year warm period, and we have 100,000 years of ice age ahead of us will then get even worse? Winter is coming indeed..

  • @gunninlinguist loving the game of thrones reference there

  • Cool show. One thing though, all future animals in this are just variations of animals that already exist. Over such long time intervals you would probably get entirely new classes of animal evolving beyond our capability to predict the same way dinosaurs, mammals, birds etc appeared with little before them to anticipate their future existence.

  • Bruce Tiffany xD he's awesome

  • i wish i could live to see this future

  • This is impossible. The Qu'ran doesn't say anything about these matters...

  • This is scientifically ridiculous, but cute.

  • Dinosaurs are my favorite animals ever!

  • so the monkeys will evolve into human again?++

  • No alien life? They could of landed on unhuminated earth......

  • For some reason, I always find the theme song of this program (as well as the creatures) awesome.

  • Ice age? Why are we worried about global warming? Screw humans! I'm gonna speciate.

  • wookie + hamster walking= shagrat

  • DAMN FUTURE NATURE, YOU SCARY!!!

  • finally all animals got out of the water (except those plankton thingys)

  • looks like we're looking milions of years back

  • Long Live the Dinosaurs!

  • I can't wait for humanity to go extinct, I only regret I won't be one of the last ones left to watch it happen.

  • @ 0:26 is that latios from pokemon

  • 10:20 is just a terror bird

  • Stereotypical Professor= Bruce Tiffney

  • @Playster3 haha lol

  • Prof. Bruce Tiffney has a sexy beard

  • sorry but little kids 5 years old could have come up with better possible creatures in the future. These scientists suck

  • it seems like the guys that made this are obsessed with squids and birds.

  • @damianedward2 hahahha agree :D

  • wtf squids on land and swinging from trees? And i doubt mammals and fish will be extinct in 200 million years!

  • can we eat them?

  • @Insomaniaartist Those big rodents look like good eatin'

  • @Insomaniaartist mmmm Flish Tacos.....

  • LA NETA ERES IMBECIL?

  • LA NETA ERES IMBECIL???

  • Flish?

    Okay no

  • I just L.O.V.E. this program ever since it first aired on tv. I just find stuff like this so very fascinating. I even have the dvd set of this program.

  • @MJsBollywoodGirl I love this program as well.

  • pokemon
