  • im guessing the drop affected the violin :)

  • @DemiKS3 no shit sherlock holmes

  • @fetsen1 actually its no shit sherlock.

  • I love this song it will be my favourite Eurovision song for a long time. Alexsander Rybak is a great singer. I was lucky on thev 4th of december 2010 because i met Alexsander when he was singing in christmas concert here in iceland

  • Jaden Smith is a snob, doesn't crack a smile at all.

  • "I dont care if i loose my fiddle!"

  • beautiful entrance..

what happened later with his violin.?

    I feel sorry for him..

  • Amazing performance and and an amazing song. Goosebumps on my arms.

  • Muito bom mesmo!!!!

  • i am so caught up on his gorgeous lust i totally didnt realize he dropped his fiddle hehe!

  • OOMG! he is sooo GORGEOUS!!! Ii really like his song fairytail

  • I feel like the song became more of a 'sore and tender' version as he dropped it, it think it eas beautiful to listen to actually!

  • 7:38 FTL, but nice performance anyway.

  • Ow,too bad he let fall his fiddle! It doesn't sound good anymore...But exept that it was a awesome preformance! :)

  • What happend at 7.38??

    He's amazing :)

  • Alexander Rybak er best !!!!

  • You're Fantastic, Alex !!!!

  • Support the world´s only imprisoned Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi. Subscribe to Burma Campaign UK and US Campaign for Burma.

  • I still get gooseflesh watching (and listent to most) this. GO ALEX!!!

  • I meant musician not museum!!

  • I completely agree. Alexander rybak is the only reason anyones paid any attention to Norway recently. Yes eurovision is a pile of shit now but it still has a legacy and is watched by millions every year. I mean just look at the talent there! Eurovision is the reason that talent got noticed. He is an amazing and gifted museum so STFU. :)

  • Will smith shouldn't have been choosen as the host........

  • The World never ceases to Amaze me, how fitting they pick a terrible person to play a horrible song for The Nobel Peace Prize competition, which an unfitting person received.. I guess this humanitarian award has not been spared from a popularity contest these days.

  • @mclegg721

Um... I don't think you realise how much this song meant to the people of Norway.

This song put Norway back on the Eurovision map and it is the highest scoring Eurovision song ever. It also became loved worldwide. The awards are held in Norway, so of course it's fitting. Plus this is Alex's way of giving back to those who voted for him.

  • @Kingfordian22 I know several Norwegians. And they are professional musicians. They think this song is a joke just like Eurovision. It's a songwriting competition combined with common circus acts. It lacks tastes and most of the English lyrics don't make sense. So anyways. Go whine about something else.

  • @mclegg721 How is he terrible?

  • @mclegg721

As Kingfordian22 said, This songs means much for the Norwegian people.

    We broke the Eurovision highscore.

We became the nation with the best score in history.

    It means much to us.

It is very fitting for opening the Nobel Peace Prize Concert.

Even when some of his strings broke, he continiued playing. He did not stop.

It shows that he is a proffecional singer.

Think before you comment such stupid comments

  • AMAZING!!!!!

  • WOW!!!

  • Amazing !

  • oh, poor alexander :(

    his the best <3<3<3<3

  • So THAT'S what happened...on the other video of this I didn't realise he'd dropped his violin, so when it started going out of tune, I was puzzled. He handled it very well!

  • I can really not find any reason that people have to hate him. I think he's so adorable, and such a good singer! And btw, I was feeling so sorry for him when he lost his violin! Poor thing..

    Butbut, shit happens!

    He handled it really great!

  • HATER ALEXANDER RYBAK!!!

  • You suck asshole!!!

  • @LolTheShow your so right >:(

  • His face is sooo cute when he drops his fiddle :D

  • oj så liten afro

  • he is so talented_!!!:D love him: and hes cute to!!!:D

  • HAH!

  • Such a very powerful performance -- way better than what he had with the Eurovision 2009 finale! I really had fun listening to it, and especially performing in front of his home crowd (Norway), it's a really rare privilege to have such feat!

  • Hhaha den stygge russern mista fela

  • wtf is up with that kids hair on the stage,,

  • you are fantatic and your violin

    you are the best

  • @supermaniac1993

atleast he has something you do not, a talent for somethign else then beeing a prick

  • You are the largest disgrace here.

You start talking bad about other people you dont even know!

    Du er gaylorden her!

  • you are very good alexander rybak and now thank's to you i want to play the same instument as you !!!! ^.^

  • he dropped the fiddler.. but honestly it wasnt that bad.. it wasnt bad a tall.. he improvised very well!!!

    congrats to alex..

    hes a great musician!!

  • Alexander stil a great song.

For this year is even the song from Didrik a very good song for the songcontest.

Bravo Oslo you win hopely again.

    Greatings from Holland.

    prachtig allemachtig.

    Stefan Borkos

  • I think he handeled the situation very well.Bravo Alexander!

  • GREAT PERFORMANCE! As an european, I feel so proud to be so well represented by such a talented guy all over the world!

  • I love the start of the song! great played!

Go Alexander!

  • oh no! so bad that he dropped he's violin!

but I love this version of Fairytale.

I love part : 8:15! he is sooo cute and telentfull!

  • Comment removed

  • Spesiel og fin versjon av sangen. Synd han mista fela i bakken...

  • This version of Fairytale is so EPIC! I can't stop listening!

Alexander, when going gets tough just keep on smiling. xD

    Love him!

    xx

  • @iamthecoldone i agree:)

  • @iamthecoldone

me to i cry every time

  • OH NOES! I feel so bad! he dropped his violin at the worst time!!!!! so out of tuneeeeeeee..

  • Han er så jævelig stygg

  • haha, så jævli bra sagt

  • 9:25 også :P

  • i think the nobel peace price concerts is getting too americanized. Too bad he dropped his violin so it got out of tune; i think he handled it perfectly. Good instrumental intro btw

  • omg o______o listen alexander's voice.

    don't kill youself!

    HE NEED HOLIDAY!

    (SORRY MY ENGLISH SUCK!) :--d

  • amazing but bad that a man has used salo a soap on his violine =( but great performance he knows what to do=) i like AR Alexander Rybak

  • that was a joke :P

  • an amasing musician who can improvise even if his violin did fuck up:)he kept smiling

  • It was an amazing peformance :) He's good, and who cares if he dropped his fiddle,He handled it great! Idosen't notice that when I saw it on TV, but it was the best peformance on the whole concert! :)

  • @Caditalover hakk i plata lol

  • @Caditalover Cannot agree more with you ;)

Klarer de ikke komme opp med noe mer orginalt enn You raise me up??? Veldig rart. Alexander er et høydepunkt. skål for Obama!

  • Alex, i don't think there is something wrong with your Violin... i think it's a perfect performance... don't let us notice what's going wrong on the stage... I know that coz i am a performer too hahah!

  • it's so obvious he's nervous, leave him be. Still an amazing performance.

  • Great promotion for Norway and Alexander too!

  • I could tell He was Nervous! (DUH!)

Thats why He was performing to alot of Famous people and He is young and is (Maybe) very Shy!

  • Well, at least he's making sure that more people know that Norway isn't the capital of Sweden. I, as well as the rest of my country are proud of Alexander.

  • @Emosopp Hi! Your right about that!

  • fail) oops

  • I don't care if he dropped it... The beginning was incredible!!!

  • Who cares if he dropped it. Not that big of a deal, these things happen when you perform live. Obviously that made it out of tune but he pulled it off pretty well and we all know what an amazing violinist he is anyway. I liked this remix of the song.

  • I decide if I should say "Wow, he got to meet the Obamas and the Smiths!" or if I should say "Wow, the Obamas and the Smiths got to meet HIM!" X3

Despite the various problems, it was still an amazing performance. I like the little variations to the song. =3

  • he drops it at 7.40

  • Comment removed

  • He Has a cold. :(

  • his song reminds me somewhat of nuttin but string's "thunder". gosh i wish they were there.

  • ok....what's the problem...it fell down...but we don't see that part of the falling violin...just Sasha's face changes into ....oops...and that's all...

  • He dropped it, and then it sounded very out of tune. Can't you hear that?

  • if i didn't know he dropped it...i couldn't hear anything...he wasn't out of tune but the violin was wierd after the dropping part...yeap

  • Hehe. Maybe it's a little hard to hear that the violin is out of tune, if you don't play it yourself. I dunno... -but he saved it very nicely though:)

  • are you from Norway?do you like martial arts?

  • Yes, I'm from Norway. I'm not that into martial arts, no. But I play the violin ^^

  • You're right..At the second part he sounds horrible...

  • nice muscles:D:D :)

  • I wonder when people will stop gossiping over his violin fall? It seems that there's nothing else to see in this video. Alex is just perfect, he performed it till the end despite the fall though he himself was the most dissapointed about the violin sounding strange. He performed it with great dignity. And people just don't wanna see that.

  • @englishsubmarine

whot???? sounds like some one strangling a cat... and will smith u are deaf.

  • @MrDirtystoner yes, it does and there are reasons for that as theviolin fell down and got out of order though it doesn't say anything ab Alex's playing. He did it despite the trouble, not everyone is able to do it in such a situation

  • @MrDirtystoner yes, it does and there are reasons for that as theviolin fell down and got out of order though it doesn't say anything ab Alex's playing. He did it despite the trouble, not everyone is able to do it in such a situation

  • @MrDirtystoner and it sounds perfect until the fall. It's another question if you don't like the sound of the violin in general

  • @ALEX

(you might read this since you check out the vids on YT sometimes)...

We enjoyed your performance... nevermind the fiddle... you would have ruled the stage even without any strings on it.. you were singing great... and you played great (I guess nobody can play a fiddle that is out of tune like you)... people knew that it was the fiddle's fault - don't worry...

    - WE LOVE YOU

    - WE ARE EXTREMLY PROUD OF YOU

    - YOU HANDLED THE SITUATION VERY PROFESSIONAL

    ~ Rybak's Facebookies

  • Go on the facebookies:) people are just so negotive :)

  • FaceBookies rule ;))

  • It is so cool in 5:50 - 6:12

  • failboi_94

  • @Excessummako så du kan gå konkurs?

  • Very professional not to leave the stage and continiue!

  • WOWOMAGAD!! Will's son got the coolest hair EVER!!

  • lol

  • Hahahahahahhah

  • Wow!!!!!

  • Obama is supporting and working for world without nuclear weapon, and still he walks around with the nueclear button, ready to launch mayhem to the world, i'm not impressed.

  • actually, even though it didn't sound like the original when it got out of tune..it was kinda cool:p hehe.. proffesional tho!!! good performance

  • Talent på Fiolin, men synginga er.... Eerh.

OH MAI GOT! MOSHOMT!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! CAN'T STOP LAUGHING! D:

    Stakkars Fiolin.

  • Hahaha! It's so funny when he drops his violin and keeps playing afterwards. The violin is completely out of tune! And the way he reacts is also priceless... FAIL, but we love him still :)
