  • check my channel for real ghost stories in newcastle upon tyne every sunday.

  • i stayed in Colchester in 1992 but didnt know there's a haunted house.....

  • very good i really enjoyed this, thank you.

  • i dont believe in ghost and monster until i met my bf

  • ur comments was like a year ago and its so long

  • I might go there and Investigate. I live nearby there.

  • is there really a ghosts in that place? I dnt think so.. it luksz lyk an ordinary house..

    o.0

  • Used tio go there for meals, but never any strange things to see, hear or feel.. ..personally I recon this ghost is a tourist attraction more than a fact, as no one in the family ever even mentioned anything about a ghost, so it's not the kind of story that's very much in th emind of the locals , ..at least not if they have nothing to do with the tourist trade.. ;)

..and yes, i did see things in other places, so it's not that I just close my eyes to the possibilitiy in general. :P

  • Fajne ;p

  • Three times I stepped back and forth to the spot and the feeling came and went each time. When I returned later to the exact spot there was no strange feeling again. Very briefly the same feeling occured at the castle door.

  • In the ruins of the priory I acquired a bit of an headache, I decided to walk towards the priory brewery, the headache seemed to be more evident, was'nt bad but I was aware of it. When I walked to a certain point I felt like hard to describe, best way to say it is if you walk under buzzing pylon wires you get a sense of energy well it was about five times that but gentle, not scary, it could also be said likened to the very start of a panic attack when you feel disorientated but again gentle.

  • with a friend we only got out the car and walked say 150 yards when something odd happened. I was lighting a cigarette in a corner of a house when I heard a tapping on a window of the house right in my ear, I looked and there was no movement from down or upstairs, the sound was a definite tapping just as you would hear if done with your finger. Just then the owner came out of a nearby pub and he checked the room and it was dark and empty and assures me it would not be from an upstairs room.

  • the wall leading up the side of the half mile path to Lindisfarne Castle away from the village. When I gazed across the figure crouched and moved sideways into the wall, I lifted my torch to its head height and directly came back into my torch a bright light much like an old dynamo bicycle light, a second then disappeared. This was around 10:30 pm on Wednesday, 20th August 2008. I have recently revisited and this is what happened...

  • I am not an investigator but was intrigued when I saw a ghost on visiting Holy Island, Lindisfarne. I heard splashing footsteps behind and away from me, I turned and saw a figure at a short distance, a dense black shape of human appearance, just this stark black figure with no signs of adornment or skin, face etc. I waited by the side of the car in the darkness thinking it was a person. When I returned to the rear the figure was motionless from beforehand when it was moving up the side of a wall

  • Well while looking for haunted places in my home town, this was what came up. Living in Colchester my whole life, the Old Siege House I never knew that it was haunted. I know other places that are but this was interesting. Thanx for the interesting story!!

  • Likewise, been there for meals, never heard anyone evenmention a ghost, no eerie feelings, nada on the whole paranormal front as far as that building goes.. Guess the story sparked off the fantasies and the rest just follows fronm there,. You see what you want or expect to see, and it does no harm to business, as the haunted hotels are well aware of..

    Quite the opposite actually.

Nice video though, better than the other amateur ghost hunter vids out there,.

  • Its not only a great place but has a great history too... pity the author in this peice uses words like Roundhead and Cavalier as descriptions for both sides, as both were terms of abuse used by one side upon the other... as well as that the New Model Army wasn;t as good as he makes it out to be, half of it had run away at Naseby but because the Parliamentarians out numbered the Royalists 2-1 they could afford the runaways... still not bad though :)

    CJ Linton.

  • Thanks for commenting. I think by the second Civil war, the Parliamentarian army were better trained and equipped than their Royalist foes.

Yes my sentiments are for democracy and not the autocracy that existed before Cromwell.A pity it`s gone full circle now!

I used the terms, Roundhead and Cavalier as many viewers would easily identify from that as to who the two sides were. You are quite right however. Thanks very much for commenting:-)

  • i live in colchester and it's weird to think about the siege house in this way! always known the history behind it but never thought about any supernatural stuff, thanks alot! i'll keep an eye out for him

  • I just love your voice"

  • also can you tell me if you have any difficulties getting into properties like that.

  • Hi, The second part is out. Here is the link title: THE HAUNTED SIEGE HOUSE GHOST INVESTIGATION.

It is difficult getting into good places, mostly they will show you the door, or if dealing with certain officials at the National Trust they will accuse you of `devil worshipping` and then show you the way out!!

Add also some idiots that claim to be paranormal groups who cause unecessary problems that lead to others not getting a look in. You have to be polite and persistent.

    Some people never learn

  • rhanks so much for your reply,we have investigated some indoor locations, but find it difficult approaching places like castles and most indoor locations.

  • whare is part 2.

  • Howdy Chris! I'm back from the Abyss... Great video--I felt like I was watching a BBC documentary there for a minute! Our Civil War here in America has provided us with many of our most active hauntings, so I'm sure your investigation was a fruitful one. I'm looking forward to watching part 2.

  • I love anything paranormal or occult, anything that can't be explained really. I think for me if you can tell a story by it then it's facinating.
