As a Syrian person we dont want US military forces on the ground of Syria, we just need a No-fly zone. After all the situation in Syria is so much different than the one in Iraq, I mean you have a big amount of Syrian troops who went against the regime and are welling to strike when the No-fly zone is activated which by the way should not cost any money for the US government since lots of the gulf countries are going to pay it anyways

@Rajaat99 - Back in the day. Saddam Hussien was president of Iraq. Saddam Hussien was keeping Iran in check because Iraq went to war with Iran. Then when their was a ceasefire. Saddam Hussien still wanted to invade Iran. Then when The U.S. captured, and defeated Saddam Hussien. This took away Irans enemy. This is allowing Iran to freely walk right into Iraq, and play their games with the world.

Why not try bringing our country back to constitutional ideals? This mammoth government/world intercession thing is not working. People have just become so used to the way they've been sliding for so long that they think this downward momentum must continue. When it comes to a desire for real beneficial change, there's Paul and no one else. Folks must realize that this is a gradual process starting with pulling our troops back and eliminating foreign aid, giving us much more to spend at home.

I would say the only issue where Dr Paul is anyhow left wing would be his views on drugs and gay rights, but then historically, left-wing nations like the Soviet Union and the People's Republic of China have had very little gay rights and very strict laws on drugs. In China, drug dealers are frequently executed, in Cuba, some North Korean diplomats were deported under allegations of homosexuality. So overall, the real left wing is remarkably similar to the neo-cons and liberals.
