and would watch it once in awhile only for the chance to see Paul Lynde.

However we hated the premise of the show because it was yet another

example of a woman belittling and humiliating her "lesser husband".

Paul Lynde....the original "I need more cowbell!!" actor!! He was so great on Hollywood Squares. Yeah, it was rehearsed, but still! Anyway, you can see that Uncle Arthur is really, for a fact, losing it, laughing for real, when Darrin (that poor actor...he had an awful painful drawn out death) did his "Yagga Zugi Yagga Zugi Yagga Zugi ZIMMMM!". That was the first time (I was about 7) that I ever saw my Mom laugh so hard that she was crying. That and Bugs Bunny being the gay hairdresser.

i laughed and laughed when I saw this scene originally on Nick-at-Nite years ago. yes, it is silly but that's why it's funny. Uncle Arthur being a prankster and Darren being so serious about almost everything, it's funny seeing him shake the cow-bell and blow the kazoo as Endora looks at him like he's finally lost his mind and you hear Lynde's laughter all over the place.
