@hezimoe i was ntthis good when i was his age but i new what i was doing being heavily influenced by marching i learned snare by ear and later in when started to learn how to read and use a metronome screwed me its pretty discouraging but if you keep going you'll be fine but let him mess around he will start to pick up basic of rudiments and stuff KEEP ROCKIN!

One of the many amazing things about him is his ability to play different grooves. He can play this feel based around a triplet, 7/4 beat in Tom Sawyer, straight 4/4 feel in Summer of '69, etc... That is really amazing for a 4 year old. We are witnessing something really special here. He also has exceptional ears and a great memory, not to mention pretty good hands already. You can see in the way hit hits the snare, he looks so comfortable - as if he's been doing it for 20 yrs.

It's just so cool to see someone so passionate and exited about what he does, totally loving the drums. I have subscriptions to a lot of (older, obviously) technical drummers, but Jonah simply is the most entertaining drummer of all youtube in my opinion.

Not sure what you are trying to say... but reality is, Jonah is barely 5 years old. If he wants to play drums for another week, or for the rest of his life, he will. He loves it, and is very passionate about it. Unless you have stats to back up whatever it is you are trying to say, or this happened to you (you where one hell of a kick ass 4 - 5 year old drummer), you make no sense.
