this is when dover made good elevators in the 80's and 90s they made lower quality thus making their products have a rep of being unsafe and unreliable
Right, because the Impulse fixtures are easy to identify, with 1980-1987 being squareback, and 1988-2000 being roundback. Also, the same thing holds true with Classic & Vandal Resistant fixtures.
remember dover made the best in Hydraulics they are crap due to carlessness of the owners that dont take car of it , and old elevators RARELY EVER BREAK new elevators break a whloe hell of alot according to andrew and they are cheaply made and he said that there was brand new otis the indecator fell off and the elevator is slow
I LOVE the motor wind-up and wind-down!

That is awesome for catching a hit or two on the ol' bowl. If I were in charge, I'd make everyone leave the fan on at all times.

Do you ever just press the call button, let the doors close and just sit it it?

Why did you choose not to tour the basement? Why did you skip 'B'?

I think this elevator is from the mid 1960's, because of the vintage Dover logo.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
yes because the Blackburn Science Building has these same fixtures and it was built in 1969

And I also have a video of a medical/law building with those fixtures from 1967-1969.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
@dieselducy actually Blackburn Science Building was built in 1967

@CaptainElevator42189 was it 1969 or 1970 that the squareback logo was first used?
cubsrule2040 7 months ago
1955 to 1970 was the vintage logo, 1970 to 1985 was squareback, and 1985 to 2000 was roundback.
