There's no historical evidence for any of this. The writings of this Jesus guy were written hundreds of years after the supposed "death" and "resurrection". The tales in the Bible defy both logic, reality, and science. How can you be so blind as to follow a religion which defies all logic? Reject science and praise some old book? The story of Jesus's crusifiction tells us that if a criminal commits a crime they can nail an INNOCENT person (lets say somebodies son or daughter) to a piece of wood, and all would be forgiven. You have to remember that most people were illiterate back then and spoke in a dead language so all of the interpretations and translations are just one long game of telephone. The story of Jesus's crusifiction tells us that if a criminal commits a crime they can nail an INNOCENT person (lets say somebodies son or daughter) to a piece of wood, and all would be forgiven. This kind of bizarr morality belongs in the toilet. Humans can NOT live under the idea that to murder an INNOCENT person to pay for another's crime is good morality. But this IS the central story of the BIBLE. This is the idea people go to war to uphold. Simply BARBARIC, in it's STUPIDITY.

Even more absurdly, it was carried out outside the temple & therefore it it worthless as a "sacrifice".

But anyway, I do know about all the things in the Bible that many people reject the Bible because of. However, I still accept it as God's inerrant and infallible word. I may not understand it fully but maybe I'm not meant to? All I know is that God is infinitely more wise than I so how could I possibly judge His word by my own standards?

I love MY Sovereign Lord, HE is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, omni-benevolent everlasting. Oh,I wish I could describe Him,but I can't b/c there r no words that can define Him,no poem that can illuminate Him,no tongue that can explain Him.He is simply everything for everybody,everywhere,every time, and in every way.And if I forgot anything,well He's been there and done that.So who is this God I serve? Melissa was given 1 hr to live at Columbia Presbyterian Hosp Bx NY.Both her lungs were unable to stop bleeding. Drs said that not even a lung transplant would save her. I remember how in the supernatural God used Moses to part the red sea.So I prayed God in the supernatural power You gave Moses I ask You to close my daughter's lungs like You did to the red sea.She also flat line 8 times and was suppose to be brain dead. Drs call it miraculous.I say b/c I dared to believe God I received

@Godbtheglory1 similar stories happen all the time to rapist, satanist, athiest, budisht and criminals who "miraculously survive any uncurable desease or operation. its not god it happens all the time. doctors are not always right they two over look things ... but its a nice story... but the same happens to ppl that dont pray

@Godbtheglory1 its great that u have faith and opinions are opinions but if god was so merciful then why did he let someone suffer to begin with? if he is all knowing and all powerful and therefor knows the outcome to all situations there is no reason for him to do it at all or to "test" anyone there for hes not merciful god seems more like a kid playing the sims to me in that respects

@bulletproofKevlar My daughter has free choice as well as free will. Unfortunately, she made a decision to have cosmetic surgery that went wrong. That was her choice. God did not have to heal my daughter, but He did due to His mercy. In any relationship ppl make mistakes and u learn from them. Sometimes u will choose to either help ur son, mother, father, wife, friend etc, or not to. No different. Ur a man who knows a lot.

@MegaGayjesus Much of what Josephus said or didn't say is suspect. You have to remember that most people were illiterate back then and spoke in a dead language so all of the interpretations and translations are just one long game of telephone. The bible should rest on a shelf next to Greek Mythology.

@Sweence I am not sure how much of "War of the Jews" you consider suspect....but as Josephus presented his work to emperor Vespaisan and his son Titus, I see no reason to doubt the number of Jews crucified during the siege of Jerusalem. What would be the point in a ficticious account of those numbers?

@Owneador1337 since when is a picture of a mammoth not a symbol or a bow or picture of a leader fighting a tiger? they all told stories and had meaning represented there culture and way of life and told there tales and its how the native americans did up until the settlers came as well , pictographs were the first form of writting but if you did real history and studied languages you'd know that. I bet its only real to you if its latin and roman letters right?

@bulletproofKevlar You're not getting the picture here mate; or probably I didn't make my point clear enough: The word "table" doesn't look like a table, whereas a mammoth drawn in a cave DOES look like a mammoth.
Writing is associating groups of abstract symbols to represent words which describe things. The individual symbols themselves musn't mean anything; or it is a drawing, not a writing.
Surely artistic inspiration and storytelling as old as man himself, though.

And secondly: Putting your thoughts aside and attacking your peer during a conversation or argument (even if it's a harsh argument) makes your point less valid and makes you look like you're resorting to insults because you lack arguments to compete. God existed before man.......... the laws of men must be derived from the laws of God. If the laws of man are contrary to the laws of God then we must obey the laws of God because they are supreme.
The Bible is the only book of truth. If you desire to seek truth and you must start from the Bible. The Bible only documents the incidents as it happened in those times and does not necessarily endorse those wars. It says if you chose evil you will bring war upon yourselves and your chldren.
