Thanks for your comment, Eskimo, much appreciated. Indeed dives in our cold and murky water, with lots of current, are not as easy as in the tropics, but the reward is a lot of interesting marine life. Go now, in spring. It's mating season of the cuttlefish.
Remember, it's indeed the small things one should be able to appreciate if you want to fully appreciate the bigger things. As for me, this is not the same diving I used to do. It's different. It's a totally different way to dive. But in no way less interesting. Above all, if you love to dive here, and do it frequently, you will be able to dive anywhere with greater skills. You will be good!
Yup, all my assumptions are right, cold inconvenient, shallow dives and sometimes very poor visibility but it took me only one dive to get hooked. There's lots to see but instead of diving while having a panoramic view, one looks at the smaller things.
I am a tropical diver. At least, I used to be. Since I live in Holland most of the time, I thought I just had to make at least one dive here. Wasn't really into it, since one assumes it is cold and inconvenient, expecting shallow dives in low visibility circumstances and well, that just didnt sound like the environments I am used to dive in. Wow, was I wrong!
Mooie video!
