Haven't seen his improved swing yet. Hopefully, besides being tall and seeing the ball, he's finally getting into the slot position for a longer area of impact instead of his "one spot-one shot at contact" swing. Old habits die hard, but this guy still has the potential to be the next Adam Dunn.

I wonder if Chris Davis realizes that he's just a couple of swing adjustments away from being the next Adam Dunn? Fortunately, he's just minutes away from metroplex pro hitting instructor Jaime Cevallos over in Grapevine, and I know he knows the fixes needed for his swing. Hopefully, someone will get the word out to Chris. Also, I'm in no way connected to Jaime Cevallos or his Swing Mechanic business...it's just he's a lot closer to Arlington than I am.

Davis stuggled this year no doubt he was my fav ranger b/c of his amazing start last year. yes he did need to make contact and so they sent him to AAA but hes been doing amazung in triple a in getting his contact back. Red Mustang go suck your "moms" balls Davis is an amazing player, he is by far better than any other first basemen in defence noone can that Mark Reynolds took the strike out lead away anyway before davis got sent down and i promise you will be seeing him in the majors again

He his sucking major ballage out there. He's dead last in almost everything hitting except for home runs. He's the first major league player to reach the fastest to 100 strikeout already. They need send his ass down to the minors for a bit because he's just plain sucking right now and everyone knows that. He'll either strike out or hit something once in a while.

.210 BA, .263 OBP (awful), 11 BB, 81 SO (on pace for 249) and his OPS+ is below 100 (I think it's around 80, which is below average).

I just wish Chris could hit the side of a barn this year! Been watching them for 13 years (since I was 5) and it's always been the same. I feel better about this season though! :D

when i was a kid (maybe 10) he went to high school with my brother and he used to come over and play ncaa football. so crazy knowing that he's a big leaguer now. he came back to longview in the off season and signed autographs for us (the baseball team for Longview High School). truly the best day ever.
