Kris Allen actually writes songs for other bands too. Cool huh. He gets to write his own music and other artists respect him so much that he helps them with their own songs. He will be releasing a second album soon. And they play some of his songs on TV shows/commericals. Kris is a musician. AL is a performer.

So it may be fine for kris to be under the rador, and write songs for artists, and good on him. He has been in la since he was 18, getting to idol, and becoming an overnight international star, was the making of all his work he did in la for ten years. @3ku1 Well he is still out there. People post Youtube stuff about him everyday. Just look it up. There were some demo tapes recently leaked of some songs. One is called Love too much. I could easily see it as a hit on the radio. It is a nice easily listening ballad. He sang at DC on Memorial Day. He was a judge on some kid talent show. He is definitely making a living. Perhaps his fan base isn't as big as Adam's, but his fanbase is loyal and patiently awaiting his third album.

I grew up in the 70s, 80s, and in the 90s I was in my early 20s. Pop music was great back then. I just think pop music has gone down hill (Miley Cyprus and Justin Beaver). The only decent music now a days are artists who do Indie sounding music or hard alternative rock. The rest is just peuk. And it is sad that Adam followed suit.

@3ku1 I just think most people now a days have bad taste in music. That is why we are stuck with songs like "Party In The USA" being number 1 Itunes for weeks. Music Again was a good song, but Adam was marketed as the Rock God on AI and he didn't stick with it. I think Kris Allen stuck with more of what he did on Idol. Although I think KA pre-idol Album was actually better. I prefer something "unique" than the mainstream sound and his album was awesome.

@3ku1 First off, I never said his album was bad. I know he sold more than Kris Allen. Many Idol fans bought five copies at a time.That is what they kept tweeting and posting on his videos/website. His fans organized an album buying promotion. KA's album was streamed for free on AOL. I have no idea why they allowed it, but maybe Kris isn't all about the money and stats. When I said I think KA's pre-idol album was better, I wasn't comparing it to AL's album. I was comparing KA 2 albums.

I loved Adam on Idol. He was clearly the best and most creative singer. He's a lot like some of my other favorite Idols though. Once the show is over, they come out with their own songs and they just aren't as good. They don't give them as good a platform to show their skills as the songs they sung on Idol. It's too bad because Adam is clearly incredibly creative with a lot to offer the music world.
@8mycrab I agree that he should have won in my eyes but I also understand that his style doesn't appeal to as many people as Kris Allen. I think Adam Lambert would agree and also probably wants it that way. He's too unique to fit into a mold. He got to the top two and that means that a lot of people voted for him. Give your fellow American's the benefit of the doubt and assume they just chose who they enjoyed most. I love Adam - and still think he's sexy no matter his sexual orientation!

I have been a fan of Michael Jackson since I was born, lol and I'm 35 now. I wouldn't compare the two. I think that Adam did an AMAZING job singing black or white. I also think that Michael would be proud that Adam did such an incredible job on one of his most popular songs Imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery.

@3ku1 First off, I never said his album was bad. I know he sold more than Kris Allen. Many Idol fans bought five copies at a time.That is what they kept tweeting and posting on his videos/website. His fans organized an album buying promotion. KA's album was streamed for free on AOL. I have no idea why they allowed it, but maybe Kris isn't all about the money and stats. When I said I think KA's pre-idol album was better, I wasn't comparing it to AL's album. I was comparing KA 2 albums.

@3ku1 And by the way, is Susan Boyle pop? No. Yet she did way better than Adam when her album came out. I think Kesha did better as well and her style is more similiar than Adam's. His first single FYE sort of flopped. IT took Adam a little while. He gets all the promotion compared to KA because AL as a gay man is more interesting. He fits in better with the liberal media. It is not surprising that his album did better. I remember Glamberts saying they bought 5 CDs at a time.

And fits in with what the show is about. AL is from California with tons of performing experience. He really should have been discovered outside of Idol & not had to join that show. That being said. Kris Allen is a supertalented singer/songwriter who needed the American Idol boost. AL fits in with mainstream pop culture.

I loved Adam on Idol. He was clearly the best and most creative singer. He's a lot like some of my other favorite Idols though. Once the show is over, they come out with their own songs and they just aren't as good. They don't give them as good a platform to show their skills as the songs they sung on Idol. It's too bad because Adam is clearly incredibly creative with a lot to offer the music world.

I think Adam Lambert would agree and also probably wants it that way. He's too unique to fit into a mold. He got to the top two and that means that a lot of people voted for him. Give your fellow American's the benefit of the doubt and assume they just chose who they enjoyed most. I love Adam - and still think he's sexy no matter his sexual orientation!
