  • This one is the first vocal version of the song right?

  • I always wondered why with a genius producer like George Martin at the helm, The beatles version was aloud to see the light of day with that serious over-modulation issue. Now I see that was an intentional move to sound like the original.

  • what a beautiful voice!! no wonder why paul wanted to cover it :D <3 lovee it, both ways XD

  • @rollingstonesgirl99 well, Paul's is a parody of this ^^

  • @albuorkka hmm a parody? i didnt catch that drift. i just thought simply the beatles were covering another great song.

  • A direct, quaint, soulful request: ...honey...taste...

  • ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS ( music, voices, all). As says joeo 78501, so good as Besame Mucho, perhaps better for me, it is a question of..taste! Maravellous sounds to enjoy us( my english is not terrible, i am french).

  • ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS( voices, music, all). As says joeo75501, as well as Besame mucho, perhaps better, (it is a question of..taste)another fabulous music.

  • Absolutely FABULOUS version!

    Lovin' it!!!

Played this a lot as a nipper in the 70's (one of my mums old 45's) long since lost the disc more's the pity - don't suppose you have the original to upload the 'B' side - 'The Old cathedral'?

Many thanks for sharing this! :) :) :)

  • This is such a good song. There is another song which i have heard (similar to this one but can`t put my finger on it!!)

  • @soulsupremeful Perhaps it is 'Cast your Fate to the Wind'

  • @TheGranule

This song reminds me of an Everly Bro`s song...

  • I played this song to death years ago and still love hearing it. NOBODY does it like Lenny. He was the best.

  • this is brilliant glad you agree he has a great voice skf;john

  • This is the version that inspired McCartney. You can hear the similarities.

  • thanx for for the insight on that still great song by lenny ifeel tho skf; john

  • Writen by Bobby Scott & Ric Marlow. The Beatles recorded this, as well as Besame Mucho on their first recordings. Can you believe John and Paul's eclectic taste!

  • This was probably Brian Epstein's taste!

  • They did it in Hamburg, pre-Epstein.

  • @tristianity4u Yeah you can see why Paul was attracted to that clear voice because he sounds kind of like him. Really beautiful voice Welch has and I think Paul sounds great on his version too.
