Not 'to', but 'on'. In other words, I don't know anything about 독도, so I'm hoping someone can tell me something about it. I only know that I've heard something about Japan and Korea not agreeing about it. But my question is more about why it is important, etc. There must be some historical significance related to the island.

@kimchiman1000 i guess it's because of the marine products. if korea doesn't have Dokdo, then it means there will be less work for korean fishermen which would make the amount of marine products in korea decrease. the prices of marine products would obviously rise in result of this. there are more reasons why japan is trying to steal Dokdo away but.. anyways, i'm korean and i KNOW that Dokdo belongs to korea. there are many proofs for this fact but since you didn't ask me that. :S.
