  • In orchestrions they used a mechanism with a wheel driving multiple bellows to pump a fairly large volume of air. The great difference to average modern noisy blowers is that this mechanism was almost completely silent. (Can anybody create a leaf blower like this???)

  • i would like to see this with 3 hpa air rifle pumps instead of bike pumps. i'll take 10 of them!

  • Awsome! Thanks for broadening the mind!

  • I remember the modified power supply from one of your earlier blog posts.

  • That is quite brilliant!

  • Beautiful gadget!

  • i like the music ^^ what is it?

  • pixie is actually correct, if you search air pump u get somthing meant for pumpin up tires, balooons, and such. an air compressor has a tank that houses the compressed are until ready to use, yes this compresses the air to some point but only around 10psi, it is a pump because it is transfering air to the ball not nessisarily compressing it but blowing it up. if you call that an air compressor then u might as well call your mouth one, it can do the some thing

  • cool

  • This isn't an air compressor. It's an air pump is all. There IS a difference.

  • @ManOfMeans YOU`RE RIGHT

  • pixiefanclub needs to find a new set of fans , as by the sounds of it pixiefan aint so smart .

let me eductae you son! or daughter !

an air compresor is a unit that compreses air , it does not matter the presure , what matters is that it compreses the air we breath , even if it pushes out 1/2 a pound , it is still air but compresed , as if it was not compresed why would it inflate the balloon ? .go get educated b 4 u make an ass of yourself , OK !!

  • VERY COOL

  • cool!

  • That is cool!

    You got my subscription!

  • it is making air but how does a bike pump suck air in and push it out not sure???

  • A pair of one way check valves. One valve lets air into the pump but not out, the other lets air out but not it. By connecting a line to the out valve you get pressure, by connecting to the in valve you get a vacuum.

  • ha ha ha! thats soo cool!

  • Love the vid and the music

  • man that's slow! good idea though. you could make one by just hooking a tube up to a fridge motor which pumps twice as fast and can pump to 400psi before blowing up

  • cool. but what is the CFM @ 90 PSI?

  • .5? not much

  • that is art

  • Awesome!

  • Kool (8

  • Great work (;
