Nice Job on the Build ! I also bought the same kit and am just getting around to putting it together. Had to do some work on the neck joint and top to make neck slide in. I used the exact same setup for clamping the neck. Gonna use a transparent amber toner mixed into Nitrocellulose Lacquer Clear and give it a "Lacquer Bath" I hope it looks a good as yours!

Yeah, Nice Job! BTW what may happen with the tuning pegs being upside down is the tension from the strings will pull the post gear away from the tuning peg gear and the gears will wear out faster causing play in the tuners. You scored on the price! Don't stop now, build another.

The hardest parts have already been done. It's about as DIY as a tv dinner is a homecooked meal.

@Bertziethegreat you can't compare furniture and food to a guitar build. there are different levels of difficulty when building a guitar. Some people don't know how to glue the body together without it warping on them. Some people can't afford a de-humidifier. This is obviously not an advanced kit. If you really wanted a DIY kit, build it from scratch. This is a beginner kit.

Haha, easy mistake! I put new tuning wood pins on my viola and drilled one of the holes to large, so now one of the pins are rammed in there a little too far in. Sounds good though, and maintains a tuning much better. :)
