  • I love this band.

  • lol that head of a haji looks fukin funny its just lying there all ugly and shitt haha

  • @cuahnahuac Did you even listen to the song?

  • This song is fucken DEEP and combined with the visuals is, althuough sloppy, very touching. Can't wait to see Jesse on the 14th. Seen Common Rider in Hollywood, started the only pit of the night for "Am I On My Own," and now gonna hit up the Knitting Factory in Hollywood again to see Jesse solo on acoustic. Fucken anxious.

The ONLY thing that could make things better would be to see an OPIV reunion show. I'm gonna will that shit to happen - join me, it works.

    Peeace

  • damn this song is great!!

  • The music is good, but the guitar during the verses needs to be a bit more choppy and angular. A bit of garage punk sound would do wonders for this song.

  • wtf?> you are ridiculous kid...choppy and angular? do you even play an instrument well?

  • What would my talent (or lack thereof, as you seem to presume) have to do with the fact that the backing riff kind of annoying? Oh, and not that it's important to the current topic, but what the fuck kind of 27-year-old thinks it's funny or appropriate to put fucking "420" on the end of their name? Christ, I'm 11 years your junior and even I've outgrown that.

  • Rofl Im 22 and its not my name, and your "lack thereof" is very obvious. Take a music class and learn some actual terms instead of "choppy and angular" neither of which say anything about the guitar on this track.

  • My bad, I figured that anyone even remotely familiar with punk guitar would catch my drift, seeing as those terms have been used for decades to describe the frantic, jumpy pacing and tendency to make dramatic changes in pitch seen in the classics of the genre. Greg Ginn? Robert Quine? Richard Lloyd? Any of these fine fellows ringin' any bells for you?

  • Genre is subjective and derived from your own objective experience, these "terms" haven't been used for decades and neither have you been alive for more than one, I suggest you do some studying and grow up.

  • Dude, just look up "choppy" or "angular" guitar, and you'll find dozens of results. For fuck's sake, they're used side by side on the Wiki article for garage punk. It isn't tough to do a quick search.

  • learn about punk from bands like these. Not from wiki ;)

  • Fuckin Ridiculous this is the only common rider vid on youtube, and its not even a good vid

  • man common rider is amazing. its a shame theres nothing live from them on here. its also a shame not many people know them. when i think op ivy i think jesse michaels not tim or matt. jesse has the best punk/ska vocals ever. for those who like operation ivy i would highly recommend the readymen. only place ive ever seen there cd is itunes though :(.

  • where are all of the common rider songs, post some people

  • there needs to be more common rider on youtube. i cant take it.

  • i love common rider love this video its butthole tight

  • Great song, but why would someone add that kinda video to a song that awesome?

  • Crap video, great song :D

  • great song, but the instumential part misses some rage, unlike jesses voice.

sorry guys but I can't help thinking this song would sound better with matt and tim at the bass and guitar

  • i second that

  • why is this the only Common Rider song on this damn site

  • It´s a great song, and a great band. Too bad it´s over.

The Jesse Michaels´ lirycs are simply calm and explosive, at the same time.

  • pfft...op ivy is better. shame jesse left...

  • Yeah, great song. . . video is lame as Hell.

  • Actually I didn't like the video at all, but the song is one of my favorites from Unity Music.

  • jesse micheal's great

  • I like their first album better. I've owned it since..I don't know but I still listen to it a lot.

    I love Jesse.

  • pretty gruesome, but awsome none the less

  • asasasasaas

  • This is an awesome video

  • These guys were really good. I accidently showed up to the 2002 Plea for Peace tour late and only caught the last fifteen minutes of their set but it was still awesome. There's just something about Jesse Micheals.
