@bigshowsteveo98 cool, does the red warning light work good for water temp? i always thought a Temp gage would have been better,,,,know 2 guys that had their engines seize.....they weren't sure if it was a malfunction of the warning light or if it was the heat exchangers under the tunnel.

So i have a 500 indy efi. Nice sled but it likes to bog alot. At full throttle it most of the time only revs at 6000 rpm. It has no power like it used to and it starting to back fire now. Anyone help me?

@sopha87 Thats real, but only a problem, the origin cylinders of this engine were not made for a long life work, they were good for about 3-4 years, but 3-4 years of fucking hard work!! This stock engine was capable of an acceleration that you would never imagine!! Its so powerfull for only 500cc!!!

in this particular indy body style correct me if im wrong but im almost positive that u can install a starter on them i thing the block comes factory mounting holes i think u just need a starter kit and a batery

I'd guess that it just means that it uses the fuel pump to get fuel to the carb... idk it but it doesn't say EFI, just fuel injection.

its electronic fuel in jected i got the same model the computer injects the fuel in to the carbs and needs the battery to run

@S0u11ess its not a carb, you're probably seeing the cap too the radiator. Where the carbs would normally be is the EFI fuel rail.

I have two.... Indy 1995 indy 500 with reverse and a polaris indy 500 xtra with a suspension package with no reverse! idk why they made them like that?

I have owned many sleds & I tell ya...I have one of these, 1994 Indy 500 EFI. It is by far an AMAZING sled!!! I used to have some BIG sleds that I had done right up & modded heavy but had to sell when I moved out & went to school. I got one of these for $700 & what a great sled! I bring this up ice fishing with all the new sleds & it's the MOST reliable, EASIEST starting & BEST fuel economy (with a 40L tank...unreal). Stock sled tops out @ 100MPH & has over 12,000 MILES without rebuild. : )

i have that same sled and its fun for what ever ur doing lol my has 121"x1.3/4" track and loves to play in hard to mild soft pack but get in more then 2' powder and hope u dont have to stop for any reason lol

The indy 500 efi rips. The only problem with this model is the suspension is lacking and the battery has to be charged ( electronic fuel inject ) to operate. They will go 100 easy on hardpac with a lite rider. I just bought two from my sister for $1500. They never had any trouble keeping up with me on my late 670mxz. I can't wait to get them out on the lake. Real screamers they are.

I have kinda the same looking sled but with diffrent decals its not a EFI, and its a pull start .. it says on it that its a 1996 INDY 500.. 50 anniversary and that dosent make any sense i got it off this guy who has died and his family sold it to me with 900 miles for 900$ i dont know where this guy go it i cant find anyone who has the same sled any one know any thing???

I have a 92 polaris indy 500 EFI but mine you drive 3 feet then it bogs down and a nother 3 feet andit bogs down. I bought the sled that way and i ended up getting a sled with no clutch so i threw that one on their. now their a problem with the regulator with that one all the light burn out even when you put a brand new one in it.
